Nobody's perfect. Trump is no exception to that. There's not one politician with whom you will agree on every topic. Overall, despite his faults, he loves this country and was the best president we could hope for.

No president has the right to alter, curtail or change in any way an amendment to the Constitution of the United States with an Executive Order. He (and his handlers) are really delusional if they think the citizens of this country don't know that. Congress can't even do that. I know a lot of people are asleep still but even they know this. It's not a good thing that the rat bastard is doing this, but we are not required to comply because it's unconstitutional and we don't need the supreme court to tell us that. Trump won't need to reverse this because it will be shot down well before that.

Please don't insult circus animals by comparing them to this filth! (LOL, at least circus animals are worth watching!)

Well we already have an unelected president and a rigged electoral college, so we're on our way, it seems. But, I have hope. I trust the plan. I wish you the best! My mother immigrated here from Europe legally; there's a pathway to do that if you're interested in becoming an American. I can't say it's great right now, but it will be :)

It's absolutely horrible, and to me (a Christian) that's a humanitarian crisis - basic human rights include the right to worship as one sees fit without persecution. If that's not persecution, I don't know what is. But then, they have no 1st Amendment protection of their freedom to worship. As bad as things are in the USA, I do believe that if they tried that here, lawsuits would ensue like wildfire and someone would put a stop to it. Hell, they might even have the members of such a church show up with their firearms and tear down the fences themselves. I still thank God that I'm an American.

Right? They certainly didn't do anything to stop it - but then how can they when they allowed their guns to be confiscated? They have nothing to fight with.

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA FUCK YOU BUDDY, eh? No, he is NOT my president. He cheated. Notice how many downvotes you got for this, dipshit? Why don't you go to yahoo or somewhere the rest of you idiot fucks go to say stupid things like that. Oh and by the way you Canadian dipshit, enjoy your lack of any rights to defend yourself there in your communist shithole. Eh?

Well here's the thing - it was him or Richard Cordray - you know, the one who ran the CFPB under Obama. This truly was the lesser of two evils by quite a bit. I don't like him because of all the mandates during this scamdemic, but I do have to give him credit for the fact that he never came after our gun rights or tried to close any ranges or gun stores. He always maintained that they were considered essential. It could be much, much worse. He's a douchebag but he's no Cuomo or Whitmer. I'm hoping someone with more of a spine runs against him when it's time to elect a new governor.

This is, of course, great news, but it's old. He signed it a while ago, and in fact our Stand Your Ground bill goes into effect today - so Ohioans, now if someone attacks you on the street where you otherwise have a legal right to be, you don't have to cower in a corner and hide or hope he goes away. You can now shoot his sorry ass where he stands and rid the world of one more thug.

I'd hate to know how little I know, if not for the internet.

That's the beauty of being Gen X! What a profound statement you made. But then you've had internet basically your whole life - so same as the boomers, it's all about when you were born and what you grew up with - we can only know what we know. I just wish more people were as aware as you seem to be. :) That's a very good thing! I do enjoy the age I am for these reasons, having seen both sides, despite the achy & creaky joints that come with it! :)

Oh I'm sorry if I misspoke, my son goes to a Christian private school. We don't homeschool him. But I do feel we found the best one in town, we couldn't be happier. But I'm sure there is plenty of info out there - I wish you the best of luck! :) You're doing the right thing.

You make some good points. I'm Gen X, actually my daughter is a millennial. She'll be 30 soon (I had her young). I think the thing about boomers is that they grew up and lived in an era when there seemed to be way more inherent good in the country (outwardly, at least). More people had pride in being American, and communism was still frowned upon. They had no reason to believe that the public schools would provide anything less than a quality American education. It was pretty slick, if you think about it, for the anti-American movement to zero in on the public schools. They were so unsuspecting it was a slam dunk, unfortunately. Plus the boomers were lucky to have color TV and push button phones, much less internet and cell phones. They didn't have the opportunity to find out as much and as quickly as we do. I'm in that middle ground where I remember life before cell phones and the internet, but have embraced both now. I know it wasn't as easy to get information back then as it is now, as I remember having to go to the library to research info to do my homework and get reports done. Hopefully that lends some different perspective to the argument? :) Very nice chatting with you!

That's wonderful! She will master English with that kind of base, given that so much of English comes from Latin. My son had the hardest time reading while at public school. Now he's been set up with an army of tutors, including one senior (12th grade) girl who just sits with him out of the kindness of her heart. And his reading has improved at a rate we are still in disbelief about. :) and he loves learning about Jesus. We always taught him at home, but never to this level. It's just better all the way around.

Yes I stand corrected - I guess they are being taught something. So glad I put my son in private school. He learns real history, to love being American, and real math instead of common core - it's such a difference! :)

Good point - probably not. Maybe just the lunch meat then...or maybe not - it's the white meat so it's probably racist to them or something...

They probably think turkey is just that which we eat at Thanksgiving dinner. Kids today aren't being taught anything in public school.

[clutches pearls] Oh my stars! Funny because I don't think there's anything new about having those beliefs. What's new is the need to express those beliefs due to a backwards-ass leftist-dominated world we're living in.
