The basic problem with Yiannopoulos is that he is both advocate, and symptom, of the west's decadence, uncertainty and decline. He (and millions of others who engage in gimp parades, drag queen reading hour, and abortion coup-counts) brazenly touted his degeneracy and hedonism and now bleats helplessly about the result. What did he expect when he boasted of his sodomy with big black cocks instead of gathering serious-minded resolve to do his part to protect western culture and civilization. I don't care that he's a depraved voluptuary; however, not once does it appear that he ever stopped and said: "I've gone too far and no good will come of this". He gleefully cast the first torch into the bonfire of the vanities.
It's not useless. As a hypothetical construct, and as a framework for the foundation of a social system designed to maximize individual sovereignty, Libertarianism is a great concept and a noble ideal.
And indeed, its formulation was responsible for the destruction of absolute monarchy, and provides the underlying rationale of the truths we hold self-evident: that government is constituted to protect life, liberty and property, as enshrined in The Constitution.
However, it can only work if society is monocultural: possessing intelligence, self-control and civic virtuosity. Personal weakness, dependency, and kneejerk addiction to governmental intervention is the kryptonite of this political philosophy, which has made it unworkable.
The fact that Libertarianism has become so distateful to so many is an indicator of the degree to which we've drifted far from our country's foundational ethic. The Roman Republic experienced this philosophical drift as well, and it resulted in the emergence of empire and tyranny before succumbing entirely.
That's what happens when leftists take over a business enterprise: their minds are hardwired to think in zero-sum terms. Therefore, they can only imagine limits--on capital, resources, markets, potential growth, etc. They can't imagine simply expanding the marketplace. For them, the future doesn't look optimistic, growing and better; it looks lean, dwindling, vicious and desperate.
The 2nd is about maintaining slavery only if you're willing to believe:
