Ditto. BasedMedicalDoctor is a legit and trustworthy source. I live in NY (Long Island) and have a close relative who's a paramedic in NYC and he says it's crazy. Under normal circumstances a lot of their hospitals are overcrowded. So to add a substantial amount of people on top that is a problem in some areas. Also, pople live VERY close together and most use very crowded public transportation. There are few wide open spaces. NYC is like the perfect storm situation for spreading this virus. Definitely not representative of the rest of the country. If I were a governor of another state, I'd ban my ass from traveling to that state too.
I tell people this all the time. I'm sure some of them think I'm crazy, but I truly believe it. He is, indeed, touched by the hand of God. Once you come to know that, it all makes sense.
I have the same situation. Friends for 30 years and the 2016 election made them crazed. I stay off the cancer that is FB because it's not worth my time to engage. In person, they're still relatively normal and we have fun together.
