Here's what I think. It's an augmented reality simulation. Like a videogame made from 3d camera crew setups. Someone asks him to go somewhere, the crew can go in somewhere. The operator of the social media account doesn't ever need to be in that place. Also they can control the requests from viewers by running their own controlled fan requests.
