4.) The military is infested at the officer level and above with lefty fuckwads, and the purge is ongoing in the front lines so the "grunts" are in line with the agenda too.
5.) This motherfucking virus bullshit will never truly go away, because it allowed powers to expand to a such a degree that mini-dictator-mayors can shut down anything at any time.

I can share my experience. Felt kinda shitty in January - right back when the virus was spreading but every organization was denying it. I was only under the weather for about a week, had some minor respiratory effects but was fine.
