I was thinking getting a gaiter too. Thanks.

Yeah, I know--I had to wear masks for work many many years ago--but now in my mid-50's? It really changes things. Many people simply don't have the oxygen/lung capacity that they did when they were young.

I freaking hate this shit, it's so aggravating. I get mad ("I'm literally shaking", lol) seeing people wear these fucking masks.

Thanks, I'll check that out.

Me too.

Back in the Spring I got into an argument on Fakebook with a nurse that I grew up with many years ago about masks. She's claiming the masks work and everyone must wear them. I'm telling her they don't, I sold all that shit for 10 years in virology/cleanroom/industrial-chemical plants in NYC. "Please explain how a 100 micron particulate will be stopped by a mask with holes 100,000 microns in diameter?" Then she posts a photo of one of her nurse friends wearing an N95 mask under a face shield--with an open bottom. Those face shields are generally used to protect against splashes from mixing chemicals. She literally thought a face shield (open on the bottom) and a N95 mask was going to help, lol. The n95 mask will offer a little protection for a short while (because of the weave) but they're used as a back-up under a full PPE suit for viruses--not primary protection.

She couldn't handle the fact the doctors (clinical) are NOT fucking experts on PPE. For most applications, they know what goes with what and what they need. But occasionally they don't, and they would call a guy like me to make sure. And if I wasn't sure, then I'd call the product engineers to know for sure.

Then she was demanding that clinical doctors (not research scientists--clinical) know more about PPE than the manufacturers and sales reps did, which LOL funny. It's like claiming a race care driver knows more about the engine and transmission of his car than the pit crew chief mechanic.

This was right around the time the NY Post published pictures of the Chief Medical Examiners office in mid-town Manhattan loading bodies onto pallets to get them out f the morgue. "See? See?" she screamed.

She really didn't like it when I told her I used to be at the CME's office regularly, and taking dead bodies out of there on pallets was NOT unusual at all. Couldn't handle the obvious fact that with MILLIONS of people living in NYC, you're going to have elderly and homeless people who die and no one claims the body. Over the course of a week or so, it's literally dozens of bodies. What do you think they do, have one guy grab the head and one grab the feet and waddle dozens of bodies out of there by hand?

"What do you know, you're just some peddler pushing a cart!" was her witty response to having her pants pulled down and getting smacked around. Other people on the thread started chiming in, basically agreeing with me, then she deleted everything and blocked me.

Not all nurses, but sheesh some of them? They literally think they're superheroes or some shit. Pathetic.

We have shit to lose (jobs, homes, etc), which is actually a weakness that is being exploited.

Just look at how many people will wear masks, even though they know it's bullshit. I have to go into schools every day for my job--I have to wear one, or I lose my job. I can't lose my job, because then I'd lose everything.

So I obey.

"We" will never actually protest in any effective way...just some noise that can be ignored. We've done it before (Tea Party rallies, etc) to no actual effect.

I know everyone wants to think "we" will all "rise up" and do whatever, but it won't happen.

People with jobs and homes and kids don't participate in uprisings. Unless everything is taken away from them. But everything won't be "taken away"...it will slowly be "voluntarily" given up.

The Floyd protesters had nothing to lose and most are violent assholes. Plus, they already hate America.

And, many knew they wouldn't be prosecuted for their fucking bullshit anyway.

In fact, those that had orgs bail them out got to keep the money after their charges were dropped. They basically got paid to riot on the front end, then got a huge bonus on the back end.

Not dooming, just pointing out history and basic human psychology...

Read "Nudge" by Cass Sunstein

No breaking down of doors

No arrests

You will be "Nudged" into compliance and subservience

Don't get the vaccine/surrender your guns/shut your mouth about Democrat corruption?

You will be fined. Your travel will be restricted. You will be unemployable. No credit cards or mortgage for you. Good luck living like that.

And you (the royal "you", not you personally) will comply.

This has been the plan for quite some time. And it will work.

Thank you Lord for making our enemies both stupid and arrogant.

Yep. Same thing happened to me. Had to work at fucking WalMart for 50 cents over minimum wage. Unloading trucks at first, and I'm over 50 years old. Luckily, I'm in good shape.

"Oh, yes you have a bachelors degree from a prestigious university and over 20 years of corporate sales experience and no tattoos on your face, but the real question is....can you push a broom and lift 20 pounds?"

I had a "manager" right out of High School trying to tell me what to do...I embarrassed the guy over and over again.

Good thing I got out!

I have a number of Chinese friends--they've been telling me this for years.

I used to have to business with Chinese clients--the worst! They lie, cheat and steal every time.

"No-no-no-no" when you catch them lying, cheating and stealing.

"You liar!" is their defense. Pathetic.

And, they're fucking stupid for the most part.

Of course they can. Can they institute pre-employment drug tests? --Yes

Can they perform "random" drug tests after you're employed? --Yes

There's your precedent.

I find it ironic that one of the horrors I've personally railed about for 30+ years (the War On Some Drugs) is ultimately the cog in the machine that gets the "law-abiding normal people" (LOL) strung up by their toes. While formerly "illegal" drugs are being legalized all over the country. Hardy-har-har, Too bad, so sad.

People need to read their history and learn their lessons. The Left has.

Remember, every time a citizenry "fought back" against totalitarianism--it was because they had nothing left to lose.

Ever read "Nudge" by Cass Sunstein? They're not going to break down your doors and take away your rights and possessions...they're going to slowly make all of those things very uncomfortable to keep. You will willingly give them up.

Want to travel? You must have a vaccine.

Want to work at a good job? You must give up your guns.

You really want to keep your guns? OK-here's the multi-million dollar insurance policy you have to have...oh, you can't afford it? No company is offering such a policy? Tsk, tsk.

Want to own a home? You must surrender your privacy "rights" and agree to 24/7 monitoring. Hey, you'll get a discount on your electricity bill!

Don't think so? Look at how many people that (are forced to) buy car insurance that have the insurance company monitoring their driving...for a discount! Be safe, comrade!

On and on and on it will go.

Again, people only revolt when everything's been taken from them, and they have nothing or very little left to lose.

Most of us have a lot to lose (jobs, cars, houses, families, etc.) and will willingly give up some "rights" in order to keep what we already have...as they slowly "Nudge" you into compliance and silence. Your protests will fall upon deaf ears. The Media Establishment will ignore you. You speak out against this? You're now the local crank.

Again, history and human nature. It's going to have to get a LOT worse before there's any sign of it getting better. And as long as its a slow, incremental surrender, nobody will notice. If fact, most will welcome it.

Sorry, I don't make the rules.

Your rights vs. their pensions... Your rights vs. their pensions.. Your rights vs. their pensions.

I think they're going to go with "their pensions"

"What really pisses me off about this "epidemic" is we have ignored a hundred years of research and a multiple hundreds of years of experience in dealing with disease"

Bingo. Quarantine the sick, protect the vulnerable. Everybody else go about your business and wash your hands frequently.

That's pretty much all you can do.
