Get an antenna and over the air dvr like Tablo for your local stuff. I have an antenna that is installed my attic. I get 120 over the air channels in Houston metro area. Roku streaming box or one of the others. I already have amazon prime for 2 day shipping, and that comes with a streaming video library that is as good as Netflix. Pluto & Tubi are pretty good streaming channel. Roku has their own free channel with some good movies with commercials interspersed. I don’t spend a thing on TV anymore, besides amazon prime, which I would have anyway. Get one of the Ethernet capable streaming boxes. I use to have problems with WiFi streaming, but Ethernet always works smooth.

Im guessing the astronauts would want to be welcomed home like that.
