This is actually something that's been bothering me as of late. We should be blue! IT used to not be a fixed thing. It wasn't until the infamy that was the 2000 election that things got stuck as red of Rep. and blue for Dem. That was because before that throughout the 20th century when there was at least some semblance of party parity in the media when they published maps the candidate that was blue was more often the one that was endorsed by that outlet and red (primarily because of communism) was the color of caution and the "other". If you watch old airings of the '84 election the map is covered in blue not red. But in 2000 the media at large favored Gore and he was blue to Bush's red. Then because that map was on every TV in America for 3 weeks after that night it stuck and blue and red states were born.
Now to the problem I have with it: throughout history blue has been associated with liberty and defiance of authority and red has been associated with hegemony and power. Nazis, commies, British Empire, modern imperialist China. All red. American Revolution, French revolution, both embraced blue and blue is even the color liberty as it appears on our national flag. So it seems to me that the party bent on government control and that even now, despite having someone the LOATHE occupy the white house, they still push for policies that centralize federal power and/or strip people of their constitutional rights. It's just backwards that the party of central power, commies, and control is blue while the party of liberty and individual/economic freedom is red. In a historical framework it's backwards and it has been made this way by pure accident that everybody just kinda went with. Red is a color of danger and warning. Blue is a color of liberty and one that evokes trust. I want my blue back damn it.
Ooof. I mean you're kinda right but fuck. I resent that as strongly as the idea of a *new normal". Ugh
Understandable feeling. I would say I'm not a super huge Trump guy and am a republican. I do wish he was more of a small government guy. But seeing the centralized power the Democrat party has fought so hard for for so long be used against them is good schadenfreude and happens to be saving our nation from Marxists so that's really nice too
Oh for the love of spice I'm keeping this. So delicious (even if not kosher)
I voted for Johnson too but the libertarian party just can't get it's shit together. They went from 2 successful governors to this shit. Total meme. If Joe wins the deep state wins and there is no president. Trump is the only real option
Edit: I live in Tennessee so I wasn't really worried about Clinton winning here anyway. Not sure what I would've done if I was in a swing state.
Mask for thee and not for me, pleb! Baseball for me though fuck out my stadium and spray paint some Marxist shit on the mound while we're at it.
Schumer is a Jew not a White.
Oof my number is way higher than 8 then.
That is fuckin' profound and everyone needs to hear it.
LOL I did enjoy visualizing it though XD
Oh I definitely understand that's why they wanna poison it. I've cancelled my ESPN+ and Disney+ (much to wife's chagrin), but I simply won't cede that hallowed ground to a bunch of whiny little pipsqueaks who've never even "done a sportsball" because they wanna cross lines and piss in my cheerios. I don't go to ComicCon and hand out MAGA hats and NRA duffel bags, they can fuck off of my sports.
I kinda resent this because I'm a huge sports fan. Hear me out here. I have always loved football because I played it and it's fun and I've enjoyed it as a part of my adult life as a fan. This applies to other sports too but football is definitely a part of me. That's because, being from the southeast, it's ingrained in our culture. Sports are part of culture. Sure it's annoying when you see ads on the walls at hockey games or NBA jerseys, or as an NFL fan everybody tunes into our championship game every year "for the commercials". It's important to parse sport from commercialism. I think sports are a vital part of our culture that it would be an absolute tragedy to give up. I'm not giving up shit, I'm going to whatever games host fans and standing for the anthem regardless of what anyone thinks. My uncle just had a child who is learning to love football too and to see how rewarding it is for him to share something he loves with her literally makes me tear up. I have one of my own on the way and can't wait to go to ball games for the first time.
Jonathan Haidt, who some of you may be familiar with if you've dove down the Jordan Petersen, IDW kinda rabbit hole, has said perfectly: "sports is to war as porn is to sex". I like that our culture produced a game like football with teamwork, strategy, aggression, and a sort of gladiator-esque potential for rags to riches immortality (ie Michael Irvin). I think it's the ultimate display of American pride and culture that our leagues (except soccer) are all the final destination for the best in the world at every sport. I think it would be the a victory for cultural Marxists, second only to destruction of religion, to have members of our society walk away from one of it's sweetest fruits.
I know I've rambled a lot here but tl;dr: fuck no I'm not giving up on sports from my child's little leagues all the way to the NFL. If they wanna make it a cultural battle ground fine. I've found the hill I'll die on. Fuck Commies. Fuck the Left. Go TITANS.

Oh God yes. That is the silver lining this fuckin prolapse of a year needs. Please please be the one!
Bet he fucks kids then. FLIGHT RISK

This is true. It's like yeah it fucked up most countries in the world but now that the curves are flat (and yes they still are) governments are scrambling to keep power. Karen's are making everything worse! Little bitches who are usually confined to HOAs, hotel pool rules, libraries etc, have been freed to roam the earth and piss in everyone's cheerios about masks, distancing, etc and the fear porn has taken normally sane people and driven them to be germophobic morons. But that doesn't mean the thing isn't real. Just ridiculously overblown
My culture is not a costume!
Updoot for you, Maple Fren!
Congrats!
KEEP MAKING MORE RIGHT WINGERS.

Oof I'd let her govern me so fuckin' hard. I'll let Tulsi join to keep things fair & balanced :P
he stood up to the mob heeeeEEEEE'S OUT!
Their whole goal is to get to the election! If they agreed on new election date in January tomorrow (never mind how insanely unlikely that is), then the numbers would "spike" and they'd try to drag the economy through the mire until January. I say we have the fuckin election tomorrow. We ALL KNOW corona is correlated to that. The Democrats don't give a fuck about who dies as long as they're the ones in control.
