I'm not sure if they wanted to be caught exactly but them it's a win-win scenario. If they don't get caught, then they win the presidency. If they do get caught, by the time it happens they will create a situation where millions of Americans will actually believe that Biden really won and Trump cheated. We will have another 4 years of many people believing that Trump is illegitimate (and probably think he's a Russian asset).
So this time, we better have great evidence to show them. Some of them need to at least be behind bars over this. Its disgraceful.
So I guess the only reason Obama won was because of Biden then? Obama should have been the vice president with the kind of popularity that Biden seems to have.
Imagine Biden knows he will face justice for corruption. Then imagine that they find "voting irregularities" in one or more states. And Biden is expecting them to find this.
Biden could speak to Trump and say something like "for the good of the nation, it seems there were some irregularities and it looks like the count will favor you now". Then he could say "to spare the nation this recount or a whole new election, I will just concede and I only ask that you pardon me if something comes up".
