Actually we just got word in the Navy that there are early enlisted separation waivers we can start filling out. Those who want to get out of the military can do so under a few stipulations based on MOS, time in service, time left in service and the like.

There are so few people on this site who actually understand military ceremony and the do's and do not's of standing watch. Get this; the military does construction projects to build schools, health clinics and community centers in third world countries for the sake of community relations. The military engineers post pictures with the locals for a job well done spreading prosperity to the world.
But in reality, the governments in these third world countries just turn the buildings into more profitable businesses, like casinos. All your tax payer dollars hard at work enriching corrupt politicians overseas. I wouldn't be surprised if these casinos give kickbacks to whoever authorized these projects for them as well.

I joined the Navy 2 years ago. Prior to enlisting I had not gotten any annual flu shots and my vaccinations were out of date by at least 10 years.
In the last 2 years I have been ill more times than in any of the last 10 of not having received any shots. I am super concerned of receiving an untested and rushed vaccine and ending up with permanent health issues.

The scary thing is that even though the vaccine is voluntary for the military, I am one of 5 in my platoon that is opting out of it. It's insane to think of that from my end.
