I don't know, personally Silver seemed to give Trump a far bigger chance than anyone else who wasn't MAGA on election night. Given most pundits, even ones on our side, his predictions in the 70% chance of Hillary (if memory serves me correct) seem tame in the face of all the 99% from the NYT and stuff. But maybe my memory is wrong.

If it was a move by the democrats then it definitely backfired. They have done nothing but coddle incompetents for decades and are now run by them. It really says something about how amazing the true patriots are and how horrible their systems are that we can basically be asleep at the wheel for, at a minimum, 3 decades and all it takes is one Trump to throw their entire machine into a tizzy

The truth that I think some don't want to face is that some people ARE, for all intent and purposes, above the law because the legal and political capital it would take to get them behind bars makes them just not worth the effort.
Personally, it IS an affront to justice itself but someone like HRC doesn't end up behind bars until you have super-majorities in both houses of Congress, the courts, and President. Also, I'd rather see them spending more time attacking the source of this whole problem in the Universities and Tech Companies. They are the bigger existential threat. As far as this country goes, HRC doesn't really matter anymore. Ilhan Omar and her ilk are bigger threats.
We'll never get real justice in this life. Sadly, we have to wait for the eternal judgement from the big tribunal in the sky. It sucks but slime like the Clintons make sure to use every loophole, inefficiency, and tool our broken system gives them. The only true justice we'll get is that they can't escape True Justice forever.

In psychological terms this is known as the "extinction burst." Basically temper tantrums of any nature always get worse and worse and then stop. But they are always at their worst RIGHT before they learn their lesson. Basically they have this concept in their head that certain behavior (violence & hysterics) gets them what they want (conservatives cowing). They are lighting themselves on fire and then expecting us to try and put them out.
Well, Trump has finally gotten it through (most) of the Republican's heads that the way you beat the Democrats is to do whatever the opposite of what they want is. The Democrats don't understand why old tactics aren't working so they try them harder and harder. I think a large swath of them have finally figured out that's not the game that's being played anymore.

Okay, just read it. Not exactly a legal expert but to my unprofessional eye the most important section is the final section titled "Good Faith". which seem to boil down to...
Subsection A: ToS needs to explain what the criteria is for bans
Subsection B: Restrictions need to be consistent with the ToS (ie: "Borderline Content" can't just be made up out of thin air)
Subsection C: Restictions have to be applied uniformly (can't ignore BLM & Islamic groups while going over Crowder with a fine-toothed comb)
Subsection D: Must tell people why they are being banned and give them a "meaningful opportunity to respond"
Now I just wish I understood what it means when the DOJ proposes secion 230 Reform. Who has to approve that? Congress? Executive branch? This is why regulations are so frustrating.

That's his tweet. Now, was Trump trying to get Hatch to run again to block Romney? totally. Was he doing it only because the other option at that moment was to let a Democrat take the seat (Romney is a total tool but at least he's voting at least half the time with Republicans rather than 0%). It was pure politics but it happened. I'm super hoping next time Trump goes super hard to get Pierre primaried. Utah was asleep at the wheel last time. He can't pretend to support the president now that we've actually seen his record.
As someone in Utah, let me say he does NOT have the Mormon vote locked down. Only reason people like me voted for him was because Trump endorsed him. That ain't happening again. Everytime he does some stupid grandstanding billboards pop up everywhere down I-15 telling him to resign. He is not popular here from the people I talk to and what I see. We feel bamboozled. If we had a way to recall him, we would.
