Guy with the key just got exploded. The key now is somewhere within a 500' radius. The rest of your team is taking heavy fire and needs to retreat.
Normally that would bother me... but fuck the unions, they get what they voted for
Covid and the flu are both RNA viruses. It's entirely possible that you can't have both at the same time.
I mean, that kid isn't going to live long anyway
Philosophers explore ethics and morality. I would argue it requires a greater intelligence because you can't just use a calculator to see if you did it right.
We bought a 2021 Chevy Colorado Z71 last year. Great truck, to be honest. The only real alternative was the Tacoma that would have cost more, towed less, and had a harsher ride.
Boycotts are great but sometimes you still need to buy from them and that's okay.
Besides, it's not like any of the other car makers are any less woke.
I've listened to podcasts of scientists who thought they were smart enough to discuss ethics and morality objectively. After about fifteen minutes of reducing the argument down, they were stuck on very obvious questions, like does life have value, why is reproduction seen as a positive, why does there seem to be a common morality between geographically isolated civilizations, etc.
A philosopher could answer those questions in 30 seconds.
Life has value, obviously, because if I offered to kill you painlessly in your sleep you would say no.
Reproduction is good because it perpetuates society, which supports life.
There are common morals between isolated civilizations because those morals are the things that protect life and society.
Eh not really.
They're referring to Trump being a demagogue.
Demagogue is an interesting word.
a political leader who seeks support by appealing to the desires and prejudices of ordinary people rather than by using rational argument. "a gifted demagogue with particular skill in manipulating the press"
Or,
(in ancient Greece and Rome) a leader or orator who espoused the cause of the common people. "the Athenian demagogues had definite and valuable functions within the state"
Setting aside the negative connotation, we can see why the elites are so terrified of this word, and only use it to describe those they find most contemptible. Trump representing the common man means we got a voice, and it also means their voice was diminished. Historically speaking, demagogues come at times of major political and cultural upheaval where regular people have had enough and want to put things back into place.
So, in their eyes, any sort of unrest, whether it's caused by supporters or opponents of the demagogue, is a result of the demagogue stirring things up. Of course, it's clown world, so the real damage is being done by people protesting imaginary social ills. And they have demagogues on their side too... the ones better defined by the modern cynical version of the word.
Biden isn't a demagogue. He represents the upper echelons of society like he's supposed to. He barely inspires a yawn from the general populace.
Where was this when it had a chance of passing?
If racism is systemic, then why is the mere allegation of racism enough to get you fired? If racism is systemic, then wouldn't it be applauded?
This article makes a series of logical association fallacies. They cite a study that shows that ACE2 prions can affect the brain, then cite a study that shows one kind of RNA editing can cause prion diseases in mice, and jump to the faulty conclusion that all mRNA vaccines will definitely cause prions.
It's sort of like saying the Ford Pinto was prone to catching on fire, and the Bugatti Veyron can go 250 mph, so the new car that Subaru is making will be an ultra high speed flaming death machine.
The reality is that mRNA stands are a part of all life. It's what your ribosomes use to create proteins. Furthermore, there are many viruses that replicate via mRNA, with the common cold and the flu being most common.
If the simple act of using or altering mRNA was likely to cause prion diseases, we would have been fucked long before covid. It probably would have prevented the evolution of life more advanced than moss.
Thankfully, prion diseases are super rare. Like 300 cases a year in the US rare.
As for the idea that some Chinese scientist in Wuhan of all places was talented enough to create a prion then stick it on a highly contagious pathogen... that's just not plausible.
Even more ridiculous is the notion that big pharma would intentionally produce a product that kills off their wealthiest customers. For an industry that spent $47 million dollars lobbying the government to keep their profit margins healthy... again, it's just not plausible.
The reality is that covid-19 is just another virus that's very contagious and it's generally not that bad but can kill you if you're unhealthy and unlucky, and the vaccine for it has some unpleasant side effects that can kill you if you're unhealthy and unlucky.
Conditions are being set, intentional or not, for the US Dollar to crash.
We should be experiencing significant inflation, considering the government prints almost two dollars for every one it collects one taxes. However, global demand for USD is still strong, and there are two big reasons for it: OPEC sells oil in USD, and investors see our treasury bonds as very low risk.
If OPEC's domination of the oil market were challenged, by say, China opening up an oil exchange in Shanghai, were you can buy oil with Yuan instead, that could reduce demand for the Dollar.
If demand for the Dollar drops too far, that could spook the investors who hold $21 trillion in bonds into panic selling, which would make our currency worthless overnight.
Then what?
"Capitalism has failed. We are directing essential businesses to continue production under the Defense Production Act. All citizens are encouraged to report to their local government for work assignment. Ration cards will be distributed by your FEMA representative."
That's an interesting selection of countries.
Now do the US.
Everything should be exactly the way I imagine in my head: perfect!
"You're drunk, go home"
You sound like a Democrat.
"We should have all the things and they should all be perfect!"
Yeah, well, that's not really possible for several reasons...
"Shut up bigot! You're just a moron who is afraid of change!"
Ok honey
Ok genius, explain to me how you would design a system that allows accidental collisions leading to multiple cars flipping and exploding, that would simultaneously prevent 100% of intentional crashes.
I'll save your two brain cells the duty cycles: you can't.
You can either have a realistic racing simulator with realistic consequences for miscalculating your speed when you enter a turn while trying to avoid three other live drivers, and rely on human moderation to deter trolls...
Or you can have a single player driving game.
One of these options meets the market demand for a realistic multiplayer racing game, the other does not.
Clearly you don't know anything about software development. It's complicated business. You also don't seem to know anything about online games. Trolls will always find a way to exploit a system to troll.
As someone who is both a software developer and a gamer, I can tell you that what you think is a simple solution is absolutely impossible and will never, ever be accomplished.
It's not insane. It's a game with rules. In-game mechanics to prevent people from breaking the rules aren't feasible.
Next time your kid plays with legos, I'm going to come over and let my toddler smash whatever they've built.
Put my kid in timeout? That's insane Just have your kids glue their legos together so they don't break.
It's a racing simulator. It stimulates races.
You're not allowed to ram people off the track in real life... so if the game is meant to be realistic, then you can't do it there
Some relatives of mine were freaking the fuck out when Covid first hit. Then they all got Covid. The two kids didn't even realize they were sick, the husband got over it in three days, and the wife had it for about a week.
So deadly.
I'm hoping that walking stick is because he's blind because he'd kill himself if he saw how retarded he looks.
Tech is actually 50/50 split conservative and liberal, from my experience at least. The people who aren't broadcasting their political views are the ones who are based.
We think we are within our legal rights to require you to get it
How about you consult with your lawyers first before signing yourselves up for more liability than your entire business is worth... fucking asshats.
I've always wondered why applications need race and gender. The only organization that would actually need that information would be a hospital.
I like him. He has balls. I like balls.
