Common core was designed to make subjects such as math and science appear impossible to grasp and “no child left behind” passes them to upper grades without sufficient understanding in order to keep young people innumerate and clueless so they fall for socialist promises of free everything, change my mind.
This takes me back to 2015 and 2016. I had been weaned out of my conservative upbringing after being on social media 24/7 and I ended up becoming pretty heavily liberal. Luckily I wasn't trapped in a complete echo chamber so I was reintroduced to these ideas when a video became viral of a man hitting a woman who was previously assaulting him. I considered myself a feminist for a while, but this video kinda helped me to realize exactly what feminism was promoting. This took me down a rabbit hole of right-leaning media, which included a video made by a black man who went to a Trump rally and said he was surprised at how much sense was being made, and how different GEOTUS truly was to how the media portrayed him. Once that got in my brain, I only went further and further in, and after actually watching a rally myself, I was sold. I knew he was what our country needed.
...Then I got into college. Slowly but surely, starting in 2017 I'd say, I started falling back into leftism. At that point I was surrounded by a very real echo chamber, simply because anyone who held any shred of support for GEOTUS was made a pariah in the communities that surrounded my interests. Eventually I had almost gone full Marxist, spouting buzzwords and catchphrases like "eat the rich" by the time 2019 came. That's probably the most embarrassing point in my life thus far, I was batshit. And then came the Kung Flu. When I saw democrat governors and mayors doing all they could to steal our freedoms, I was forced to look at the ugly truth of what I had voted for. And I saw "my people" cheering on these lockdowns, being happy about having our rights taken away, and becoming totally craven and CONVINCED that possibly spreading a weak virus was tantamount to genocide. At that point I started to slip back into support for GEOTUS because I started to remember which side was the sane one, but I didn't want to admit to myself that I had been brainwashed, until the riots started up, that is. We watched cities burn and when I dared to speak out about how this was horrible and that defunding/abolishing the police was a terrible idea, I got slandered as a full on Nazi by my "friends." I regretted ever becoming any shade of purple or blue. I sowed and then I reaped, and I'll never make that mistake again, on my life.
It’s been 4 years and before the most important election in history this is STILL what we’re trying to direct public attention to. No one gives a fuck about these except us, he's running against JOE BIDEN not Hillary. This is wasting valuable campaign time on a message that will ultimately mean nothing to the average voter.
Exactly, the cleanup can’t begin before the election. That would make it far too easy for the fake media to smear him as an evil dictator and meaningfully impact his re-election chances.

I really believe this + his public appearance has already had a profound effect on the public. I live in a small southern CA city full of liberal snobs, and the difference between the public attitude yesterday and today at the same grocery store was profound. All of a sudden, no more social distancing despite the asinine stickers on the floor still being there. Very few properly wearing their masks, most had them below the nose; several not masked at all. It's almost miraculous. Dare I hope that people are no longer afraid?
