The Earth has been in an Ice Age for the last half a million years. Every hundred thousand years or so, for most of that half a million years, the Earth has been experiencing brief warm spikes ("brief" meaning a few thousand years). We're on the tip of one of those spikes right now. Well, except for that teeny tiny cold snap we've been getting. :)
The Earth is already overdue to return to Ice Age conditions.
They don't want to cancel it. They don't dare even try that. The resulting revolution would make January 6th look like a slumber party.
What they're trying to do--and they've been at this for many years--is demote the Constitution in its importance. Say, by referring to it as a "living document", or by saying it's "out of date", or by saying "that's not what the original framers actually meant". And, one of their new tricks (which they've started resorting to very recently, now that the Supreme Court is loaded with conservatives and changing the Constitution is out of the question): just outright ignoring the Constitution completely.
For whatever it's worth, pretty soon the Supreme Court (and in particular Roberts) will be forced to step up and tamp down the demoncraps' ambitions--because the demoncraps have directly threatened the Supreme Court (by way of "packing") and Roberts is going to have to take action to preserve his precious seat.........and his power.

When I watched Trump start taking states and pulling ahead in the electoral count four years ago, that was NOT "medicine I didn't like". It was "oh, God, please let this be for real, please let this be really happening". When he actually won, I was all "YEEEAAAHHH!!!"

Several douchebags in the GOP have said "the party needs to break away from Trump". That's a branch that really needs to be snipped off the Tree of Liberty. E-mail whichever RINOs you folks happen to be saddled with, and tell them specifically that you will not allow them to escape from Trump: that you will only vote for Trump or for candidates who get an endorsement from Trump.
Make clear to them that there is no escape. Hang The Donald around their spindly necks like a great big orange millstone.
