The whole point of discussing slavery 200+ years ago is to ignore slavery today. People can only focus on so many things.

Looking from the outside, I don't think the "slavery" bitching in the US is about slavery. Black people want to blame slavery because they don't want to reform their communities or admit they're somewhat responsible. Democrats want to talk about slavery 200 years ago because they don't want people talking about the current prison slavery that's happening. And corporations want to talk about slavery in the US 200 years ago because they're all profiting from slave labor all around the world right now.
If people really wanted to protest something, they'd protest Israel's treatment of Palestine instead of made up Nazis. They'd protest for police reform based on no knock raids and the militarization of cops. They'd protest corporations who make profits off 3rd world slave/child labor. They'd protest prisons that keep people locked up and use them as literally a slave workforce. And they'd protest schools for charging them insane amounts of money for teaching them nothing but propaganda.

I hope after 4 more years, he starts doing "cool walks" with like a million people walking behind him. I want to be in that crowd some day.
