I have a colleague who became covid positive 2 weeks after receiving shot. Jury is still out, but it might just be unlucky timing. It takes several days to two weeks for the body to make permanent antibodies. Prodrome for covid is typically 4 days, but sometimes like 10 days. If nurse became symptomatic 1 week after receiving vaccine then probably was exposed around the same time as receiving the shot and thus wouldn’t be covered yet. If it’s a month after then it’s suspicious. I haven’t gotten my shot yet. Im monitoring how well it works for me colleagues.
I think the argument is that PRE symptomatic spread is pretty significant and thus you never know when you are 3 days away from becoming symptomatic. I know of quite a few cases transmitted in the day or two before symptoms set in. Does this justify the mask lunacy? No. But if you’re visiting your grandparents it’s a good reason to take precautions. Im an Er nurse so I often ask my patients if they know how they became infected and often they do know, especially if they’ve been very cautious. For example one lady has been low key hiding in her house for months but she had an electrician come do some work and he assured her he felt fine, but he ended up notifying her a couple days later he had covid and she became symptomatic a couple days after that. Again, I don’t support the lockdowns at all, but people should still be really cautious with elderly and compromised people.
Im an ER nurse in LA. We were EMPTY until about July. Then we started picking up but mostly regular stuff. Since end of November we have been crushed. For context, we are always crushed during holidays because flu peaks November -Jan. I’d say we are a bit above the usual load. The strangest thing is no one is testing positive for flu, all covid. We’re running flu tests with every covid test so it’s not like we aren’t testing. It’s bizarre. I am convinced some of these covids must be flu. But not all of them, because we have tons of people with low o2, which isn’t typical for flu. It’s honestly a medical mystery.
If it suddenly starts dropping around January 15 I will have even stronger suspicion that we are seeing a lot of flu. Most years flu peaks the first week jan and then plummets.
I’m an ER nurse in LA. I haven’t seen a single flu diagnosis yet this year. My friends haven’t either. It’s super strange. We do have a ton of covid tho. In the last week or two it blew up. It makes me wonder if the PCR test sometimes reads flu as covid positive. Doesn’t explain why the flu test would be negative tho. I will ask the lab if they are running as many flu tests as usual. It would not surprise me at all if many many many of the mild cases are flu.
I also oppose mandatory masks and lockdowns (vehemently). However, it’s probably good if people want to continue exercising caution (at their own discretion) because we are really struggling with patient volume right now. The media was crying wolf for months, but it’s kind of legit now. Hate to say it.
I’m from MA. It’s blue, but it’s not 70% blue. I was home this summer and I noticed people were putting up police flags on Cape Cod, and some Trump flags. I got the spidey sense that people were sick of the BS. But then the election results came in and the percentage barely budged since 2016. That’s not accurate. I would bet my life on it.
I heard one lawyer explain that Texas failed to prove standing because electors haven’t been sent yet and thus damage to Texas isn’t evident yet. Maybe they need to refile after electoral college votes? Anyone know about this?
As a red-pilled former dem I can tell you that not everyone is a lost cause. There are a lot of people who have a lot of cognitive dissonance about the social justice narrative. They shun their doubts because they feel like they’re totally alone, which makes them think maybe they are crazy or a bad person. A lot of them are waiting for someone they know and respect to be like “hey, I don’t agree with this stuff either”. BE THAT PERSON!
The trick is you have to approach cautiously and don’t try to sell them on the whole enchilada. Start with something easy, like “men and women are different” or “blm does more harm than good for black people”. You just have to open the door and then let them blossom on their own.
Yuri is correct about a segment of the left. They are totally programmed. But I don’t think they are the majority.
Burn down businesses? Absolutely not. Those are solid citizens, probably patriots. We lose every shred of moral high ground if we behave like them. Plus we damage our own communities which negates the whole point. Peaceful secession might be our last option. It’s not something to rush into or decide on with a hot head. We need to be deliberate and honorable or else we’ve lose the whole plot.
This is really bad. Blm protesters are the worst but no one should be cheering for this. First, because it’s wrong, plain and simple. 95% of blm protestors are just dumb kids. They don’t deserve anything like that. Beyond that, it hurts the country and it hurts our cause. This stuff is like manna from heaven for blm. Now the entire media apparatus will be cooing over their hardships and persecution all while tying that deranged/undisciplined psycho to us. God forbid they find that driver has been lurking on TDW. We can’t have loose cannons in our ranks, and we can’t glorify it in any way shape or form.
Several big tech companies are eyeing campuses in Austin for the explicit purpose of flipping Texas. It’s not even a secret. I’m not sure what the best solution to the problem is, other than recruit conservatives from blue states to offset them.
I had thought the audit was being done by a firm associated with Flynn. Is that true? If that’s the case then I’m sure Trump has heard about the results. If they are incriminating then I’m sure they will be leveraged for maximal effect, which may include allowing people like this AG to become implicated at this stage. It’s also possible that the audit didn’t turn up anything, although I would imagine dems would be blasting it in every channel if that were the case. Let’s keep up the pressure regardless!
RINOs for sure. I think the left is gonna go scorched earth. When scotus sides with Texas they’re gonna say it’s a kangaroo court, that they’re Russian agents, that revolution is necessary, bla bla. I don’t think they will ever admit Trump won or that they lied.
Im an Er nurse, the virus is real, can confirm. The first wave in LA was way overhyped and it destroyed media credibility, but we’re having a big wave now. We will be fine, it’s not the war zone they make it out to be, but we’re very busy, and some people are dying. I truly think the vaccine is probably just another vaccine. I don’t blame people for being massively suspicious because the msm lies constantly and we are literally in a Maoist revolution, but my gut feeling is Trump is genuinely proud of the vaccine. I also don’t think Pfizer and moderna want to tank their companies futures with a terrible product. I think China screwed us over with this thing, we shouldn’t screw ourselves more by undermining efforts to get it controlled. I’m not referring to lockdowns, but just common sense measures, including rolling out the vaccine to elderly ASAP.
