This. I remember once upon a time when people had no idea how to use the internet without AOL.

“What? You mean open internet explorer?”

It’s doable. Decouple. I live in one of the bluest states and we make do. Homeschool. Raise your own quail for protein. Make your own gardens. Buy local. It’s doable.

We've already switched to homeschool and have been raising our own quail. We invested in a 3d printer for parts. I live in a blue shithole state but after yesterday my wife is ready to move to the "Republic of Texas".

I have no interest in ceding ground my grandfathers spilled blood for. But we need to be able to regroup somewhere.

Not only that, but they'll "contrast and compare" the response to the mayhem antifa/blm will cause vs the stop the steal gathering in DC.

That's basically what OSHA is/does.

We were running a job on our site and so all staff had to take OSHA basic cert class. The entire class was just telling us how to spot scaffold and extinguisher faults. The guy was shameless about it too. He knew their job was nothing but a racket.

Right here with you Jonathan. I had a MySpace page back at the end of high school. I ran a few web servers of my own and saw what could be logged in sessions and what can be done with passwords when they’re still clear text. Deleted MySpace and haven’t been on another social network since.

It's a shame that bar got turned into a Royal Farms. I used to love pulling out of the Walmart parking lot and seeing the pro trump sign.

I agree, in my little corner of Somerset, things were looking up.

I had the exact same issue with kraken-wood earlier today. If i continued past Optimum's little warning page, I get the same SSL protocol error. Changing DNS off of optimum allowed me to continue.

Flushed DNS cache and point to my own dns (ovh box that points to clouldflare). traffic routing as expected to kraken-wood.com

May have had a caching issue when i swapped dns first time.

While on optimum, even with a different dns, kraken-wood.com resolves to 167.206.37.136

While VPN'd in with different DNS (we also do our own BGP): 104.26.14.99

Going to try to add the second one to my own route table manually (while still on optimum).

interdasting.

It's grabbing it even if i set DNS to my own hosted. A traceroute is showing the packets actually being eaten on my provider-side.

I have a couple of tier 1 providers on the site i vpn into and they're still ok. for now.

This is some next-level 1984 stuff. Even hard setting my DNS won't allow me to bypass. Can only get through if I VPN into another provider.

Take my updoot. Alot of people on this site need to watch this.

He was my least favorite ranger anyway. Which is a shame because blue was my favorite color as a kid.

Came here exactly for this statement. Glad you made it first. I’ve been hearing Brannon mention the finesse over and over. As frustrated as I am at the Freeman’s, all I can think of when I heard it was what you mentioned.

Giuliani is going for RICO though. He won’t settle for the sub bosses. He’s going for the big boss.

I am actively rebuilding my portfolio and resume. Been with the same company for 10 years. They recently started forcing us to get tested using their testing vendor (can't use our own doctor) just to come on-site. It is a matter of time before they will force vax. I am simply going to not comply until i'm terminated for doing so, buffing my portfolio as i go.

You do make some great points there.

They can, of course find ways to get it going. The question is if anyone is aware - at their fingertips - of some specific HIPAA things that one could at least get a nice severance for.

I still believe in freedom and liberty. I still believe if i don't like what the company is doing, i can just get another job. If i don't like my state, i can move. Those things are certainly being considered.

Travel/etc could get worse.

If i am good at what i do, and i am organized, I won't be latched to this one company. I know that i am not. But we're talking about the difference between theoretical ideas and the possibility of having a different avenue of defense.

Thank you for your input either way.

Yep - this is my line in the sand. There is a ton of fun stuff. While i can't stand the industry, i love what i do. Everything from security access technology to surveillance, sitting on and admin'ing the M365 instances or writing custom scripts for quickbooks crap. All fun stuff.

What i've decided to do is get my linked in updated, push a bunch of crap i've written up to github, and start shopping myself. In the interim, i'll still do my job but i won't take their test. I'll let the boss or HR make the decision whether or not they stop paying me. If they do, i'll have a backup all ready to go.

I feel for you, pede. My family lived down near ditmas park for years. We got along great withost of our neighbors. Libs would be surprised how based first gen immigrants can be when they feel strongly about doing it the right way

Around 2016 we started seeing things like "kill the white women" written on the Q platform. We started saving and got out of dodge around 2018 and I've been so grateful since.

Then again, I'm just in jersey so out of the frying pan and into fire.

That's one of the caveats of being middle class and in the city. It's actually very tough to consider moving. Landlords are very tough on leases and when they smell a renewal isn't coming their supers can get vindictive. Then the expense of getting a truck and/or movers to get things out is rough. Requires alot of capital.

If you're just treading you're stuck and that's exactly where they want you.

Hold steady, pede. There are alot more around you than you may think.
