Yeah I agree the "patriot party" is a distraction, it would just be Ross Perot all over again. The county committeeman thing is one of the best strategic ideas that's been talked about here recently. Keep in mind PCs don't need a lot of votes like a mayor or something, many counties have vacant positions. And the job is to talk to and mobilize individual voters, not look good on TV. You could do it.
Because of the American political system, a third party will never win. All we would accomplish would be the next Ross Perot and let the Democrat win. I know the Republican party can be annoying to deal with, but look at what the leftists did: they infiltrated the Democrat party, dealt with their crap, and now have ever increasing power over it. We need to do the same thing to counter them.
I feel like most people who are moderately right-leaning (myself included) generally don't care much to take political power. We as individuals would rather shitpost about leftists on the internet than campaign to pass a law that hurts them. Unfortunately, the leftists all enjoy seeking political power; even back in high school they would always do stuff like youth in government. Even if you'd rather ignore the government like a lolbertarian, the government won't ignore you so we have to do this.
