I get it and I know... Some places are cool, others not so much.
The point is to signal dissent while otherwise complying. I am 90% sure many others are only complying because they see high usage.
We need a way to signal that we are ready to stop now, but we all have to do it together
OP here: my area is a high-mask area. Business won't serve you, people freak out if you aren't wearing a mask...its fucking lame. The group think is off the charts.
Can we get a form of solidarity in which we are satisfying the mask requirement but also signalling to eachother that we are ready to stop now.
Play by the rules, without reinforcing the rules
It's a helluva maneuver, but it'll never work. People need time to get attached to a candidate. Hear their policies, what they support.... Hahaha just kidding, the Dem base will vote for a log wearing a tie as long as it's not Trump. No one is voting FOR Biden anyway, only against Trumo
In reality you would expect Police murders to be entirely aligned with general population murders.
It could skew either less or more based on general access to weaponry or the opposite with above standard training and morals who knows.
But the mob needs to show systemically higher murder and abuse rates than general population numbers to have any real case at all.
Individual events are never proof of systemic problems.
They put their life into that building. There is a whole article about its history when they bought and repaired it.
Throwing away a huge part of your life because of intimidation mobs is exactly what our laws and police are supposed to prevent.
If these people's house is destroyed or they are harmed it sends a very strong message that the 'protestors' are actual enemies of the state
Masks CAN help lower spread.
Most masks do not.
Frankly if the state is going to mandate mask wearing they should at least have the decency to supply/demand a grade of mask worth a damn.
I see people with those tiny surgical masks with 1% effectiveness acting like they are saving the world
The term is prophalactic and it's missing in many articles.
Prophalactics are taken to prevent catching a disease, not cure it once it is fully set in. Lots of news focused in hydrocloroquine not fixing late stage situations and conveniently quiet about early stage/preventative
'good men in Portland' lol
