Also, yes Belgium is a great visit. Don't do it for the beauty tho. We don't have any interesting nature compared to the states. We have a unique culture and lovely cities tho. And everything is very close to each other compared to the states.

Democrats are anti-abortion ? I always thought that was a republican thing. I guess I was misinformed then, thanks for clearing that up.

True there is a big difference between Europe and the USA. I think the USA has corporate even more rooted in their government then in Europe.

But Trump hasn't been shy to channel state funds into his own companies in clever (and legal) ways. Doesn't that concern you that he might not be as concerned with the priority of the avarage citizen ? And maybe more about his own agenda and the people close arround him (so a part of the elite)

I've done some research and I can't find allot of ways he had an enormous positive impact on the average joe. Avordable health care is still rather awfull in the states. Taxes for average people haven't really gone down.

Not saying other Presidents have, since I doubt that very much. But I don't particularly feel Trump has.

Do you have examples how his presidency has had a positive impact on the average joe ? I'd love to add it to my research.

And do Trump supporters then solely vote Republican for their state governor as well then ? Or is that more mixed and dependant on the views of the governor ?

I see so you're supporting Trump so that he may turn the American government back into a system that is more for the common Amercian then the Elite ?

Doesn't it bother you then that Trump is an Elite himself then ? And that he clearly has taken multiple actions that make allot of money for himself ?

I really support your view that the government should be for the people, sadly we have the same problem in Belgium, the government here rather helps the elite as well.

But I have a hard time believing Trump is non-elitist. Can you tell me why you think differently ?

Ah I see, Do you have elections for your state politicians as well then ? Cause I feel those seem to matter more for your day to day lives ?

Ah I think I understand. You are pro Trump as in Trump being a sort of 'loose canon' president. That goes against the government ?

Otherwise I don't really understand why you are so pro-trump.

Apologies, I'll attempt to make myself clear.

What I feel and see around here is allot of people arguing against things like 'the rich getting richer' and 'government only supporting big companies'.

But then I think the right wing republicans (I believe that includes Trump ?) are exactly those people that make these decisions (making the rich richer and only supporting big companies).

So what I feel is that people here are against the actions of the people they support. And I have a hard time understanding that contradiction.

Isn't the current Government Republican and Trump ? European here trying to understand American society and politics.

European here interested in American society and politics. I see most of you here not agreeing with the government only allowing big stores to open. And I see most people here get it's probably lobbying and the rich getting richer.

What I don't quite understand is this comming from a pro-trump group. Trump himself is a capitalist and rich getting richer guy right. Then why are you supporting him ?

Honest question.
