I am not a resident of Texas, but as a resident of Tennessee I feel a distinct fellowship with the people of Texas because of our shared history during the formation of the Republic of Texas.
I would like to inform you that I fully support your effort to restore the Independence of the Republic of Texas. With the irregularities that beset our most recent elections I feel very strongly that the distinct differences in culture between the left and the right are going to become untenable to the Left, and we shall soon be facing pogroms designed to destroy any and all forms of conservatism and individual liberties within the United States.
If Texas were to reclaim its Independence, I believe that many of the Conservative states within the Union would quickly join with Texas to form a new union, capable of standing on it's own; and governed by a Government truly of the people.
I am shamed to say, but I strongly feel that without Texas becoming Independent, the major cultural and political differences within our country will lead to an active civil war that will leave many people dead, injured, or missing.
If Texas leads, others will follow.
