Like they’ve showed up before now? All of the recent events have been either closed invitation lists on purpose, or woefully unsuccessful at attracting crowds. At this point, they just want the photo op (no crowd shot) and Rachel Maddow talking it up.
Maybe he didn’t go ahead and report contents because the bigger story was the theft? Like the missing 18 minutes of watergate tapes. Is the gap more telling than the content? If the contents were just another straw on the camel’s back... (and god knows there’s enough straws already), then the theft of it is the more dramatic shocker?

Agreed. He knew this business venture wasn’t just selling shower curtain rings. Glad he came forward, but he’s more like a jilted ex than a patriotic saint, pissed that he was being cut out of a deal and anticipating that he’d be thrown under the bus by ‘the big guy’. Joe saw Beau as ‘Joe Biden 2.0’ and had no doubt Beau would be President one day, supported by his brother Hunter. Article notes (paraphrasing) that Jim Biden took care of finances while Joe was the political face of the family.
Surely they knew this would be the consequence. Time to speculate!
What did Pelosi promise and when did she promise it? ‘Just close it down and keep it locked until the election, and I’ll pay you back?’ And if this promise was made, then that’s why Pelosi won’t agree to a stimulus without bailouts for blue cities. Did she think she could trick the Rs and GEOTUS into bailing out bogus lockdowns?
It means shenanigans, is what it means. It forces the parties to prematurely put all their weight in one candidate, or allow too many candidates to split the vote and risk not having the party be represented on the ballot.
Example one: Dem A gets 24.4%, Dem 2 gets 24.3%, Rep A gets 24.2% and Rep B gets 24.1%. No Rs advance.
Example two: the party leaders get together and put all money and effort into one chosen candidate to prevent the shattered vote. This means back room deals and establishment candidates, no room for the people to be discontent with establishment.

Vote NO on the open primary. Proposal is to do away with party primaries and allow the top two vote getters to move forward. This means you might see only one party on the final ballot. Example: Joe democrat gets 24.4%, Bob democrat gets 24.3%, Sally Republican gets 24.2% and Jane Republican gets 24.1%. In this case, only the two Dems compete in the general, completely locking the Rs out by a tiny margin. This is called a ‘jungle’ primary. Vote NO!
Are you sure that’s AF1? It could be the AF flyover saluting first responders in May 2020. There’s a few seconds in the middle of this video where it looks similar.
I’m late to the thread and maybe someone has already said... Read the proposed state constitutional amendments carefully. They’re generally at the end of the ballot when you feel ready to be done and might want to hurry out, and they’re a lot to read if you didn’t read in advance. But they can be very important.
For example, in Florida there’s a yes/no vote on essentially merging the primaries and letting the top two vote getters move forward. That would mean, if Dem 1 got 24.4%, Dem 2 got 24.3%, Rep 1 got 24.2% and Rep 2 got 24.1%, then the general election would see ONLY DEMS on the ballot.
Also, read very very carefully because sometimes these amendments using tricky wording to obfuscate consequences or make it sound like a no vote is against when it’d really be in favor. Lots of legalese. Florida has gotten better about including a plain language version to explain what it’s about, but I don’t know about other states.
Don’t underestimate the ewwww factor among non-hardcore partisans. And surely they’re out there, hardly paying attention to the far left drift of the DNC, voting (or not) out of habit and old news, thinking this is still your grandpa’s DNC. They won’t watch the news but the shock rumor and schadenfreude will seep into public awareness through pornhub. And a lot of people will be just grossed out.
At the most naive reading, Joe is a clueless enabler who shows a colossal lack of judgment that he would trust such an addict to be involved in foreign affairs and business dealings while dad’s the VP.
A more sinister reading shows Joe as a cold-hearted bastard to use his own troubled kid as the bagman for their crime family. And with his crime bill , to have knowingly imposed prison for poor black folks, for drug crimes his own rich white son freely engages in. That’s not going to sit well with a lot of people.
The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. And that tree is FUBAR.
