I'm a 7th generation Texan. I've always wanted a nice big snowstorm. Typically we'll get an inch or two and it's 75° the next day.... No longer.

We just got probably 15 years of winter weather in 5 days.

Texan here. Even my own family is pushing the "But Scandinavian and Antarctic" windmills don't freeze! Put an Antarctic windmill in a Texas summer 100°-115° for MONTHS ON END and see how they hold up. You build machines differently for different climates.

He 100% has zero to do with getting anything fixed. Still the optics are horrendous. Just a fucking bonehead move.

Elon Musk is leading humanity's transition into a space faring people. I guarantee you Biden is going to interfere just like 0bama did with NASA.

It's real. I'm in Austin. We are facing our 5th winter storm tonight in less than a week. We've had Canada type cold, lows below zero in the city. My sister's family has been without power since early Monday morning. If you are lucky to have water it's super low pressure due to all the line breaks. I just got back from rescuing a 75yo family friend who hasn't had power since Monday.

I've been buying a few Mountain House cans of food every month when they're available. Oatmeal too. It's chap AF.

People on /r/austin were complaining about being out of food on MONDAY!!!

I stocked up on Thursday. That's how much warning we had for this storm. It's just unbelievable how ill prepared people are.

Today someone posted about their "prepper friend" inviting everyone over who needed food or warmth. The OP didn't go because they didn't want to "feed his ego".

I'm just not going on reddit or twitter. I'm sure they're ecstatic!

Reporting in from Austin where we just had our I think 4th winter storm in a week.... Only one left to go Thursday before we're in the clear.

I had family ranting about that guy. He was the mayor of 4,000 people. Dems are going to use this natural disaster to try and take over Texas. BeTo is already going on TV.

If Texas crashes 20+ million people are starving and desperate. Chaos. It spreads. Biden welcomes in China to help.

DC is heavily guarded right now isn’t it?

Luckily my power hasn't gone out. It's up to 26° today but I still have about 5 inches of snow. I'm in the middle of Austin. Family's power came on about 2 hours ago. Now they're catching up to the internet and blaming Republicans for "not being prepared" despite 6 coal plants in Texas being shut down in the last 2 years.

I posted in the Austin reddit that obviously NG/Wind/Solar can't keep up in weather emergencies like this and we shouldn't be shutting down coal plants... I'm of course being downvoted by liberals sadly freezing in their homes.
