So, this morning someone posted a Swastika sticker on an Anne Frank memorial in Boise, why? We have the Holocaust crammed down our throat as if it happened yesterday and we were the perpetrators, not like it happened 4 generations ago on another fucking continent and we are the ones who ended it.

When I was growing up, every school year in history class we would spend 3 months only talking about the Holocaust with a WW2 backdrop. You know what we never talk about? The Greek, Assyrian, and Armenian genocides, the 1st and 2nd Bangladeshi genocide, the Cambodian genocide, the Circassian genocide, the Rwandan genocide, the Holodomor, etc.

Our education system has failed so much that almost nobody knows anything about history but the fucking Holocaust and people even assume that it was the only noteworthy genocide to have occurred. In New England, Florida, and California, supposedly that's the only thing ON the curriculum according to my online friends who go/went to schools in those states.

For fuck's sake, we have 2 entire government bureaucratic bodies, the USHMM and the SEHI, which are SOLELY directed towards Holocaust research. Every single year we get a new Holocaust film. (Don't believe me? This isn't an exaggeration - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Holocaust_films)

Even the US government has taken an official stance that the Holocaust happened and that denying it is Anti-Semitic, (https://www.nytimes.com/1981/10/10/us/california-judge-rules-holocaust-did-happen.html) and there are many notable Jews on the Supreme Court and in Congress which have called for laws to make Holocaust denial illegal - we don't do for any other genocide. (https://www.state.gov/defining-anti-semitism/) We didn't even acknowledge the Armenian genocide until 2019.

Why do we care?
