I applied for unemployment late July. I found work since then, but had a few months of open benefits requests.

During that whole time, KY unemployment phone line went straight to voicemail, with automated weekly callbacks saying "sorry we haven't called yet, but we're busy". No responses to emails. Physical office visits by appointment only at the state capital, but magically booked in perpetuity.

Well, guess what happened this morning - a day after inauguration. 6 deposits from the state. Albeit a couple deposits short and every one was for the wrong amount - the big guy needs his share.

Coincidence? I think not.
