I was tutoring a teacher a few years ago; she had a problem with a right triangle with legs 600 and 800, and the hypotenuse was marked 'X'. I said, 1000, right? She thought it was magic. I explained it was just a 3-4-5 multiplied by 200. So I showed her the Wiki page on triples, and she said, "Oh, they're ALL like that!" Yup!
I then noticed the string of skinny triples on the left -- figured out the pattern and now show it to all my students, I also discovered a few years ago the Double Intercept form of the linear equation. X/a + Y/b = 1. You can teach your German Shepherd to write that from a graph. They teach it in Europe and Asia, not in USA.
Not quite -- I did work on NASA'a Surveyor Lunar Lander back in 1965-67, though.

Pythagorean Triple Table:
first column -- 3 4 5 top row, short leg, all odd numbers starting with 3 (3, 5, 7, 9, ...) bottom row, hypotenuse, starting with 5, difference begins with 8, increases modulo +4 (5, 13, 25, 41, 61, ...) middle row, long leg, 1 less than hypotenuse (4, 12, 24, 40, 60, ...)
Each column is a Triple; first 3 columns comprise 1/2 of the only six triangles used in high school classes and text books, SAT, and ACT.(other 3 are equilateral, 45/45/90, and 30/60/90).
As a retired engineer, I am now substitute teaching. I spend a good amount of time correcting mistakes of the regular teaching staff.
Federal Republic vs. "Democracy", etc., etc.
I introduce the Double Intercept form of the linear equation (taught in Europe, Singapore, etc., but not in this country).
I correct the mistake in "PEMDAS" -- the 'E' for exponent should be P/R for power and root.
Instead of remembering different formulae for area of triangles and most quadrilaterals -- use same formula of average base times altitude (for triangle, top "base" is zero).
And the Pythagorean Triple Table, as an aid to remembering half of the only 6 triangle used in high school, SAT, and ACT.
So many young minds to repair, so little time.

Valley Forge is the most significant -- G W barely held his suffering army together; it could have easily ended right there.
There used to be a YUGE mural of Valley Forge in the old terminal building at PHL until at least 1986 -- then used as cargo and charter terminal.
Don't forget Valley Forge park, also Brandywine Battlefield park in Chadd's Ford, PA. Nearby are Longwood Gardens and Winterthur, both fantastic places to visit !!

I remember being told he was 6' 4" by a docent at his temporary HQ house on Lewis Lane in Whitpain Township, PA, where he stayed just after the Battle of Germantown.
We lived a mile away for 25 years and the owners opened the house for tours every few years.
