In capitalism you pay your landlord, in communism you pay the government, but you still pay. If no one pays, then housing simply will not exist.

Then in February the CDC and WHO and the experts told us masks weren't necessary. Don't buy them unless you're directly dealing with Wuhan Flu patients, they said. So I figured I'd listen to the experts and it would be OK. Fortunately I always have a bale of TP around so that round of panic buying didn't affect me.

At this point, I realized a few things, the experts lied to put themselves in front of the line. There was no evidence masks worked to prevent ordinary spread among ordinary people. And even after going around like normal during the deadliest months of the deadliest pandemic in history, no one I knew even had the sniffles. All the deaths were in nursing homes, and that was most likely because they were sending Wuflu patients there. And the message was changing daily, and depended on who was on the news that night. It wasn't going to be two weeks to flatten the curve. And my State's Governor was a power-tripping asshole.

The reason toddlers are usually exempted from mask mandates is because they are more prone to suffocation.

I fix cars for a living. Every so often someone will ask me if I can be flexible about payment. I was stupid enough at one time to say yes, and if all they did was run off and stiff me on the bill it wouldn't have been too bad.
But they tell all their deadbeat friends about me and all of a sudden I have a bunch of con artists wasting my time with sob stories and trying to run out on the bill and getting all pissy because I won't let them run out on their bill after letting their friend run out on their bill.
