Pfft...Globe life is a BRAND NEW stadium...and its small. like 10k smaller than the old Rangers stadium. Hell, I grew up with the Astros in the Astrodome...baseball as a whole is shrinking in capacity and attendance while getting more expensive. There is no maintaining the static amount. Its smaller every year no matter what they do.
Was at the game, because the group of us already committed before MLB shenanigans. I will say this though, 60-70% of people in seats packed in like sardines....no masks, just chatting and eating, and having a good time watching Canada kick our sorry asses.
In the common areas, still like 50% wearing no masks, and the stadium staff stopped bothering me and others after the first pitch because no one was complying.
It wasn't a boycott of the MLB...but this was VERY MUCH a huge group of people just living life pre-covid style. And the tailgaters were the epitomy of it all. booze, games, food, and dancing all like normal people do.
I've always equated "riches" with money and "wealth" with property. Its better to be wealthy than just rich. Own and possess things you can use, enjoy, and prosper with. Land, a home, a vehicle, etc.
And this is what they are after. They want you to have things but not OWN them. $ in a bank is not yours if they bank just decides "no" or if the government decides "no" or if the loan owner decides "no".
I like the IDEA of a digital currency...but currency is essentially driven by faith in its use in the economy. I dont even trust the US Dollar at this point beyond what I can turn it into physically. I trust in bullets, beans, and bullion.
This is just so true. In the past 4 years as a construction manager, we have been BOOMING with the economy and we just COULD NOT find enough qualified people to install and test out hvac equipment and such. No mechanical experience, no electrical, no IT...the ones that DID come in with good experience came from competitors who were using a booming market to shift around to get better salaries/hourly rates. Everyone was gobbling the workers up.
I have had better luck hiring straight out of high school guys are $20/hr and benefits with no experience. 3 month probationary period. 6 months of on the job training and then the wheels off, its sink or swim in a busy market. The ones who make it have a TRADE, the ones who dont are the ones who just lack work ethic...nothing my trade does is HARD individually its just a lot of work and with commisioning agencies you gotta actually do a good job at it.
We need and explosion in trade schools in HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical...we need them BAD.
As a result of the events of September 11, the House adopted clause 12(b) of rule I in the 108th Congress. Clause 12(b) authorizes the Speaker, even when business is pending, to declare an emergency recess when notified of an imminent threat to the safety of the House.
Wow...that is a hell of an InfoWars video.
