If it's even the slightest bit of consolation, I bet he believed everything he was saying, he just underestimated the opponent.

We all agree on how government should work.

IMO, it looks like you need to learn how government actually works. Did you forget the absolute travesty that just happened to our country a month ago? Here's a reminder: every government agency, employee, and chamber (with the exception of about a dozen people) failed to do their job and now we live under tyranny that we're probably going to have to go to war to fix.

And you have the nerve to pretend that the courts will sack up? Why don't we just vote them out?

I mean, at this point, everyone knows we want DJT.

So the article isn't wrong, per se. She just can't give us what we want.

I wish with all of my heart that I could tell you that you're being ridiculous or hyperbolic. I don't see a way back from this either. The only way I see is on the other side of 'weak men create hard times'.

These people are legitimately mentally ill. Look at the amount of hatred just POURING out of them. How am I still surprised by this?

I wish that faggot Collins would go just ONE week without being a giant embarrassment for Maine.

I honestly hope that when (if...) justice is ever restored and Rs have their rightful majority in everything that we impeach Trump a third time.

Impeach him for being a doodie head, then acquit him in the senate. The dems have made an absolute SHAM out of something that should be taken seriously, and we should acknowledge that bigly.

Um, excuse me. I think this photograph has been doctored. It doesn't appear to be real.

Can we impeach Trump for this?

Imagine having such a disgusting and pathetic ideology that even the fart-sniffing intellectuals in France think you're obnoxious.

I think a lot of people are neglecting to consider the level of power the government had as well. There were no video cameras, no facial recognition, no automatic lookups, no phone tracking data, and money was entirely cash. If we picked a fight with England, it would take them a month to get a fleet of ships over.

Compare to now. Patriots who literally only walked into the capitol building at the wrong time are being listed as terrorists and from that are losing their jobs, getting put on no-fly lists, getting arrested, banned off social media, etc. If any honest insurrection started, they could call in an air strike to level the place in minutes.

Our biggest mistake was letting them infringe on 2A (or maybe letting USA have a standing army which could be turned against the citizens). I should be able to own an M1 Abrams. In an ideal world, I should be able to gang up with my buddies and take on the fed. Sadly, that's not where the power dynamic sits.

As a counter-argument (since people seem to just be downvoting without articulating their frustration), let me share an experience I had last August.

I was stressed out of my beans, not sleeping well, not eating well either. I was coming to grips with the fact I'll probably never have a family, and mourning the abject degeneracy of the mainstream narrative.

I went on an annual camping trip that I've been doing with my two closest friends in the world. We were completely disconnected from everything, and had a few days of fresh air and good quality time.

Both of my friends kept commenting about how badly they had needed that trip, and how work had been stressing them out, and it was nice to get away. I, however, felt no rest.

I realized that vacations are only as restful as the distance they put between you and your problems. If your problem is work or a busy schedule, vacations are great. My problems are only getting worse with time. Unplugging provides no solace because I'll eventually have to plug back in, and society will just be that much worse when I do.

Viva Frei has talked about this a few times. There's no winning.

If the numbers go down: Hooray! Masks are working! @e should mask harder!

Numbers don't go down: Oh no! Masks aren't working! We should mask harder!

You single?

Geological timeline here.

World was at like 3k ppm - We had an inland sea on NA. Land was lush. Greenery EVERYWHERE.

Great cataclysm - meteor, prolly. Caused huge (global-scale) fires and flooding. Greenery all dies, gets piled under rock layers from floods. All that sweet sweet carbon gets buried.

World has dangerously low carbon. It's all buried (and becoming oil). Hello ice age!

Subduction + volcanoes finally release enough CO2 to make this place not quite as terrible as it was before, but still not great. Ice caps haven't finished melting, still a long way to go to get back to healthy planet (YOU ARE HERE).

"Global warming" is the planet trying to return to its equilibrium state. To pretend humans can or should do anything about it is really arrogant.

I am legitimately SHOCKED that Maine isn't on there. Had to read the list twice.

Is this house members but not senate? I've never seen Collins pass up an opportunity to disgrace her constituents.

Honestly, people. Stop posting and upvoting this crap. I wouldn't even know that the SB was this weekend if it weren't for these posts. Interestingly enough, I've seen so many of the posts pointing out how many of these posts there are that I'm starting to get annoyed with them too.

You're not special for not watching the super bowl. The overwhelming majority of people here aren't going to watch it for one reason or another.

Now they're going to deplatform all those crazy conservatives who perpetuate the lie that there's no bias against conservatives.

They'll do it unironically.

I've been 'flying' an empty flagpole. It's a statement in my own head, at least.

I'll say it. Anyone who claims to follow the God of Jacob but is okay with abortion either doesn't understand the atrocity of abortion or doesn't understand God's opinion on it.
