I just discovered Bubly. I didn't know they do caffeine. This might be the beginning of my Summer of Many Belches.

Of course we'll remember it. It's the short list for the 2024 nomination, dontchaknow.

But remember that if anyone offers you a helicopter ride, just say no.

Have you been to a Safeway recently? They have all their employees wearing these little ID looking stickers...

This is just the new "boycott the election" meme. The fact is that we ditch the GOP in search of "ideological purity" and we lose... period.

WA state and same. Also the only Inslee sticker I've seen is one with a Volkswagen farfegnugen stick figure humping the "I".

But that means nothing in a state that's had mandatory vote-by-mail since the Rossi election was stolen in '04.

That Pankera book was actually a pretty good read, in my opinion. As an E.R.B and "Doc" Smith fan, it was just more satisfying than the Beast. ;)

The story goes that he'd basically written the whole thing back in '77, but abandoned the original storyline (Pankera) after the party lands on Mars/Barsoom. (Maybe he thought better of "homaging" Barsoom and the Lensmen... not that it slowed him down in Oz.)

It was interesting seeing the changes in the attitudes and actions of the characters after exposure to Carthoris, Thuvia, and Dejah Thoris. Zeb grew a pair and didn't give into Hilda's bullying... which resulted in Hilda NOT filling the hold with high quality martian cannabis and having to run from the Galactic Patrol.

Honestly, that whole thing was my least favorite element of Beast.

I think that's worth at least -1d6 Sanity points.

I had this same discussion with a relative.

He just laughed and said, "Learn to knit".

Ah, it's just another clickbait from gateway pundit. And here I was set to get all snarky and everything.

yeah. Now, my parents were Kennedy Democrats. I was raised thinking that the Democrats were the more populist of the two parties... and maybe that was true in the Nixonian era.

That changed when I was in high school (Reagan), and folks slowly started catching on in the years since. When Rossi ran, I was stunned he lost... and how he lost. Vote-by-mail just cinched it. They can't win a fair election, so we aren't allowed to have one.

I still say that we haven't had an honest election since vote-by-mail. That's the only explanation for his win this time.

All I know, is that the Sumerians invented beer.

And that, sir, is all I NEED to know about ancient civilizations.

(!) Official sources called this election differently.

... and what "official sources" are those, pray tell? CNN/FOX/MSNBC? Hmmm?

We'll never have another uncontested election unless we ditch vote-by-mail and the electronic machines, and mandate old-fashioned, in-person voting with positive ID and actual paper ballots.

This is one of those things that should not even be debatable.

I don't think Washington State has had an honest election since BEFORE they pushed through vote-by-mail.

Seriously, I'd totally support a constitutional amendment requiring in-person voting.
