Internalize this for a second: The sitting president of the United States couldn't garner enough support to prove election fraud despite mountains of credible evidence. He was impeached for 1/100th of the proof and the active commander in chief still couldn't quite get it done. Despite literally winning re-election.

All of this is beginning to make me understand why Bush and past Republicans didn't even try--the Establishment is just too entrenched. On both sides. They will crush you and they will turn on you.

The sad truth is that people like Mike Pence can only support people like Trump to a certain extent. Why? Because Pence still has a career (i.e money) that he needs to focus on. Just like Turtle Mitch and all the rest of the turncoats. Even 4 years later, Trump is still, sadly, the only man with the freedom of a billionaire calling shots. He and his family are set for life and as such is one of the only people capable of speaking with zero strings attached.

This has all been very eye-opening. I don't know what more Trump could have done short of an all-out insurrection.
