When people get deplatformed, fired from their jobs, socially ostracized, assaulted and/or imprisoned just for disagreeing with you, you are not the resistance. They are the resistance.

That logic could be used to shut down any/all dissent. This is North Korea type thinking.
And of course it's only going in one political direction. You don't see these people talking about shutting down fake news that actually does incite months of deadly rioting - fake news like "George Floyd was murdered by a white cop". Noe, that's perfectly fine because those riotiers are all going to vote for them.
It doesn't need to be proven false. That's not how it works. No evidence was ever offered to prove it true. Meaning it was just an unsupported claim. You shouldn't believe wild claims that come with no substantiation whatsoever.
Think of it this way: It was also never "proven false" that communist aliens from Mars hacked into the voting system and stole the election for Biden. That doesn't mean you should believe communist aliens from Mars hacked into the voting system and stole the election for Biden.
