It's not because Trump is going to overturn the election before the 20th.
It's because the election is going to be discredited after the 20th.
This what everyone needs to remember: We're just going to get more and more evidence of the fraud as time goes on. That's how conspiracies' work - especially conspiracies of this scale. They're naturally leaky. And there are a lot of people out there in the know - and they're little people too. Ordinary citizens. vote counters and such, who aren't good at keeping secrets.
Sooner or later, that leaked evidence is going to pile up and reach critical mass, and then the public is going to demand justice be done. When that day comes, it'll be much better for the Democrats and the swamp if Trump is barred form returning to office by an impeachment conviction or a 25th Amendment removal.
That's the least larpy explanation I can think of for why they're so bent on getting an impeachment or a 25th amendment done with just days left in his presidency - because they know it's not really over, because they know there's they can't conceal their sloppy election fraud for very long.
And then they elected a literal, known pedophile to the white house.
So those of you who were around on reddit might have heard of r/metacanada. We were the Canadian right-wing shitposting sub. People called us the Canadian r/The_Donald (even though we'd been around since 2011). We're now migrated to OmegaCanada.win.
For our first few years of operation, our 'side' in IRL politics (the Conservative Party of Canada) was in power, so our content was mainly salt mining, mocking the leftists, and obnoxiously cheerleading for <ourguy> Stephen Harper. Much like T_D's content.
Then we suffered our apocalypse on 19 October 2015 when our party got voted out, and the Trudeau Liberals got voted in.
While Justin Trudeau getting elected in 2015 may very well have been the worst thing that's ever happened to our country, it was without a doubt the best thing that ever happened to our subreddit.
This may not be what you want to hear right now, but take it from someone who's been in this position before:
-
In terms of engagement -The side that's not in power always has an energized online presence because an angry audience is far more active than a happy/content one. That's part of why T_D exploded so fast in 2015. It gave a voice to the side who were angry at the end of Obama's 2nd term.
-
In terms of content - There's no way around it: Content that's tearing someone down is just better/funnier/edgier than content that's lifting someone up. Our pro-Harper memes were ok, but our anti-Trudeau memes were in another league altogether. I mean just think about it - what's funnier: Making fun of someone or praising someone? Now just try and imagine the gravy train of gaffes, scandals and embarrassments that's on its way with Biden/Harris. Biden is arguably a bigger joke than Trudeau FFS. The content here is going to take on an entirely new dimension (because let's face it, how many Trump/eagle/.50cal memes can you come up with before it gets stale?).
So I feel bad about saying it, but it bears repeating: Trudeau getting elected was the best thing that ever happened Canadian conservative shitposters. Tearing people down is a shitposter's bread and butter.
I'm not going to presume to tell you guys as US citizens how to feel about the election outcome, but as T_D shitposters, you've entered an entirely new level of play here. You're just now crossing the red line on your version of this graph. So start turning that disappointment and anger into memes. It's a whole new ballgame now.
