Used to be one of the people that was paid to do said research for seven years. However, given that I don't have access to those resources any longer, I had hit a research roadblock of sorts and was having difficulty with my own efforts. Not dogging you however; you are right about doing my own work. Sometimes two heads figure shit out faster than one though, especially with how fast news is breaking atm.
Here is hoping. Currently stuck in Michi-stan with Whitmer's stupid ass. Hoping to move in the near future to a less screwed state with my family.
Much appreciated. Used to work as a paralegal, but the constitutional stuff was out of my particular field. Appreciate the look and I'll do further digging along that route to try to wrap my head around it further!
I worked in law for seven years (primarily employment law and a smattering of probate). Something I did learn while doing so was that it never hurts to ask someone else when your own efforts to research aren't working out as well as one would hope. I just figured I am missing something here and wanted to see what else others had come up with.
If I recall correctly (used to work in law as a paralegal, but not an attorney so take with a pinch of salt and ask an actual attorney. Further, this is just talk; do not rely on this as legal advice) that would be the "class of one" theory. However, there is a lot more to a suit like that as well. You need to also show that their government immunity doesn't apply. If I recall correctly, there are a few ways to do this, one of which is to show that the actions of said official were outside the scope of their office or some-such nonsense. I totally recommend looking into it further, it is a really interesting and tangled mess. However, I do not think a suit based on the lockdowns would prevail in this theory (again, not an attorney so who knows?). Going the constitutional route would likely be more effective (it has worked in MI so far even though our tyrant keeps blowing the MI Supreme Court Rulings off by using the health dept. as a shield).
Crazier than that is that the booklets have to have the staples on the spines taped to prevent the justices from cutting themselves. Hate SCOTUS filings... best to just shell out for a specialist to print the booklets to spec for you.
To be fair, I used to work in a law office that did some SCOTUS appellate filings through the 6th Circuit from time to time. This was actually one of the reasons the case my supervisors sent up was rejected. Also the stupid text font they use exclusively for filings there is expensive (think ~$400.00). However, given the gravity, I pray SCOTUS doesn't play procedural games with this.
Michigan Pede here as well. Been very nervous about how this shit show is going to go down. Things are very tense here near the capitol. No matter how it goes down, I hope Whitmoron gets the justice she deserves for the deaths she caused during the pandemic.
Fair enough, I can respect that. I just said it was not likely to succeed. I never said it wasn't worth doing.
There is a petition to recall circulating, but soonest it gets to the ballot is 2021 sadly.
Was there. High energy and a good time. Kudos to both our police and the militia that were present.
Yep, paralegal here. Might as well watch paint dry. It is worlds faster than the legal system is most times.
I have assisted my supervising attorneys with a few of these suits (in MI no less). Even though it is possible, they are a pain in the ass so I wouldn't get my hopes too far up on this basis.
Hey there. I am a lurker from KIA2.win. Looks like one the resident trolls from there got out of his enclosure and is bothering you. Hopefully a jannie will be along shortly to put him back in his enclosure where he belongs. I agree that PB going to Portland is very bad for trump's reelection chances. Better to retain momentum at this point than to lose it.
Hey, it worked pretty well in Sparta. Their whole legislature ran on that assumption.
Try here: https://palmettostatearmory.com/. Be sure to buy the lower and upper separately to save on taxes. I did the same with my build and ended up with a nice upper and lower with an free-floating barrel, enhanced (polished and plated) trigger, and nickel boron bolt with nice furniture for only about $400-450 total. Too bad it got dumped in the drink on a recent boating expedition.
Also yes, pew pew is good for a KISS guide on building.
Thank you for your efforts!
