Two friends of mine have lost grandparents from covid. Several friends in their 20s have gotten it and lost their taste / smell. Some other people I know in their 50s/60s got it but recovered and it was mild, and one person got it a second time. So yeah, for younger people it seems not lethal but still significant, and for older people it seems serious, but it seems inconsistent too.

I’m a registered Republican in California and my mail in ballot never arrived and the post office had no idea where it went. So I voted in person. I assume it was a fluke, but it does conveniently fit all the trends.

Completely agree. The democrats that I know (family and friends) are good people and really care, they not the "unhinged leftists" we talk about on here a lot. Several do their homework and back up their arguments well. In general problem is that they have been fed such a skewed story and version of reality from the media that it gives no real counter arguments and they think Trump is a horrible divisive person.
They also would be OK for Trump to win if fraud were real.
So let's just keep talking with them and educate them and be open to discussion. I really do think that we have a chance in the next 4 years to bring the country together. People are in general good intentioned and more susceptible to lies and media influence than anything else.
I thought they only certified because the dems agreed to an investigation of their concerns and then they found out a day later that the dems reneged on doing it, so they rescinded their certification.
