McConnel can still try and push through a bill with only stimulus checks as well which would be by far the best option here but knowing the dems they would never allow such a thing.
Please, if someone has more in depth knowledge, correct me if I am wrong. But I dont see this as a betrayal at all and I would imagine Trump likely knew something like this would happen or could have even asked for McConnell to do it. This will only further delay the congress and could end up pushing this whole thing into the next session.

I will go back and try and find it and post here in a bit but the larp said putin DID interfere in the 2016 election, but interfered by "turning off" the vote switching that the dems had set up. The dems knew it was Russia and obviously couldnt say the real reason so they did what they always do and blamed Russia for giving Trump the votes he needed to win. It also claimed that Trump knew that this happened and watched everything play out in real time in 2018.
Obviously not going to use 4chan as a legitimate source but this tweet was never mentioned and seeing it now it does fit pretty well into that scenario.
