Yes, yes... totally dismiss the threat and maintain outdated perceptions.
Regarding your replies:
- this is an outdated perception of China pre-2000s. As I said, China graduates more engineers each year than the total number of engineers in the US. These people are not working in sweatshops, I work in the semiconductor industry and interact weekly with Chinese firms.
- I guess this is a reference to Uighars. Working conditions of course are appalling throughout many sectors but one fails to appreciate that the typical Chinese has a much higher level of industriousness than their modern Western counterpart. You see it even here in the West with Chinese working well in excess of 8h on their own volition.
- Individualism has been selected against for centuries in China and was only accelerated under the Communists. Many individualists fled to Hong Kong and Taiwan (both have also slightly higher average IQ).
- Mainland China is effectively an ethnic bloc and that is an asset compared to a heterogeneous society (see Turkey with reference to Kurdish minority) with populations just waiting for opportunity to revolt/secede/side with the enemy.
- Yes, communism is garbage but China stopped being economically communist ages ago. China was living effectively in the Middle Ages I up until the 1970s and is now in many technological domains equal to or even pulling ahead of their Western counterparts. Standard of living and proportion of society considered middle class is nothing short of a miracle. It is clear, like many, are totally ignorant (and have their pride threatened) of what modern China is like today. It isn’t a nation of just rice paddies and slave labor camps haha (see cities of the Greater Bay region which is manufacturing heart of the world).
- This game has been going on since at least Nixon and definitely since Bush Sr. You underestimate everyone because you only see the carefully constructed public appearances and think this is reality and complete. Yes, the Traitors in the West have given them the opportunity and they have taken full advantage of it like a very competent advisory has. They have thoroughly infiltrated and co-opted academia and to a lesser degree the tech industry. Politicians have been bribed and courted at every level of society. Media is totally sold out (American media refuses to report about the CCP members list recently leaked).
It is clear you know little about China aside for the tidbits that feed into the stereotype you want to construct so you can dismiss them. It is folly to not accept the seriousness of the situation and respect the strengths and capabilities of your enemy.
- 1 billion people with an average IQ of 105.
- Ridiculous work ethic—Chinese live to work
- Orderly, collectivist, obedient culture—superior to a cacophony of individualists “doing their own thing”
- Ethnically homogeneous (mostly) reinforces obedience, purpose, and limits the types of treachery seen in nations with little to no kinship
- Chinese leadership and thinking is in centuries or even millennia—they play the long game—contrast that with the typical Western politician who is thoroughly deracinated and shares no affinity to the governed or his kin and treats his high office as satiation for totally selfish ambition with loyalty to the highest bidder
- Cunningness. One only needs to be familiar with Sun Tzu’s “Art of War” to understand the Chinese are masters of stratagems and are very adaptable—investing their “agents” and purchasing politicians and power centers is only natural!
I can go on but this should be sufficient. I have worked with many Chinese, some prominent, and been to China on many occasions for well over a decade. They are easily the biggest foe and could, if things continue, make all Western States their vassals. It seems the CCP, despite Chinese being culturally inwards looking, have realized it is in their own interest to exert control globally. I do not think Chinese are interested in global domination for domination’s sake but to ensure their own stability and prosperity.
Edit: China graduates more engineers each year than the total number of engineers the US has in total! Don’t underestimate the Chinese, they are a foe who is currently winning and can win.
Edit 2: Don’t get tricked with the “Communism”. China is very much capitalistic and a meritocracy! The communism is just a veneer or branding of their authoritarianism. They are not political zealots but political realists.
I am curious, if one is vaccinated then why would you care if others are not? The anti-vaxxers would only risk spreading diseases amongst themselves. Also, why are vaccine-zealots on the one hand professing so much concern for disease yet on the other hand are open border types? Don’t these people know that diseases long extinct in the developed world have remerged only due to mass immigration from 3rd world?
I work in deep tech. The US already domestically produced enough highly skilled people (nation of 300+ million with some of the best universities and labs in world). In the very rare case a highly skilled specialist is needed, there are already means to get those types.
This is about importing cheap labor and increasing the labor pool so that wages are kept lower.
Poses a threat? Haha, they have already infiltrated and soon installed a puppet government!
