I'm a HS teacher in AZ. My principal just pulled me out of class and threatened to get me fired for not enforcing masks in my class.

I am thinking; I should carry a Riot-Shield as my mask. Have someone sponsor it and put a big ol' decal on it. Videos and pictures would inevitably go viral of the teacher using a riot shield as a mask.

Sponsorship would need to be about a year salary since I would inevitably be fired and never hired again by "mask people".

The more I study American history (Federalist papers, constitution, events, etc.)... The more I realize and am convinced that all 50 states very clearly are directly violate the 2nd amendment.

As you guys know, most laws are written with intentional ambiguity which creates plenty of room for error and leeway. In law, there are also words that are black and white.

The 2nd amendment RIGHT and LAW is clear as day. "Necessary to the security of a free state" is black and white language. So are the words, "shall not be infringed".

"Arms" is very ambiguous. And if you understand American history, it's quite intentionally ambiguous. We the people are meant to be able to "alter or abolish" our government. (and according to the declaration of independence, we are "duty" bound to "alter or abolish" the government.)

Any! Any regulation of arms is a violation of our natural born, God given rights as an American.

We're being a bunch of pussies and have let our government grow far too powerful and oppressive.

The only solution I can think of is for us to create a 3rd party (or join a pre-existing one)... Continue to vote Republican until the party has enough traction to legitiamately win congressional seats and the presidency.

Consider the possibility the Wuhan Virus is real, and it's contagious. And consider the possiblity it kill ~0.05% of infected adults.

Now please understand this as a fact; High Schools are germ sharing, cold/flu infested environments. At any given point in January, about 25% of my students were sick. The whole damn school got sick in about a 4-6 week period. Including myself. I had the most ass kicking cold ive ever experienced. I had to go home one day during work because i was so whipped out. (I'm not rambo, but i've never skipped work over a cold) [Wuhan Virus, perhaps?]

With that said;

1. (just consider the possibility of 0.05% mortality, I KNOW THIS STAT IS VERY POSSIBLY WRONG) For every 200 teachers infected, 1 would die.

2. I have a Master's degree (196 total college credit hours). Some of the best classes I took in college were online. I am confident, online classes are an awesome pathways to education.

3. one of our educators died this summer from Covid.

So, Why is it worth risking the lives of students and teachers? What's wrong with teaching online until we have a vaccine?

P.S. I am a conservative high school government teacher. Politically, I am behind enemy lines daily. Our English department spews liberal thought process all day every day. My Government lead and "assigned mentor" is hard left. She considers CNN an unbiased news source. The list of liberal indoc in my school goes deep. (and I teach in an affluent community)

I do my best to be an un-biased Government teacher. I give my kids as much information and perspective of both sides as possible. And I encourage them to think for themselves and make their own decisions.

I've been with this site since the beginning. At first, it was honestly worse than reddit, so I continued to use T_D on reddit. This site went thru some growing pains and eventually became a quality substitute.

Im a huge twitter user. Conservative twitter users are equally fed up... twitter is simply doing a much finer job at attacking/censoring without creating a catalyst for an exodus like the reddit quarantine. Parler is attempting to get off the ground, but the product is a bit uninspiring.

Mods/coders/content creators, I admire the heck out of you. The digital warrior concept is real. I played college football at a fairly high level. Im a Christian. The best football players and coaches ive been around led by example and action. Christ led by example and action.

The individuals running this site and posting good content are leading by example and action.

We've become so combative and obsessed with the next spicy retort or the next best "did you hear what (insert asshoe name) did today!!??"... That in several cases, we're becoming the very thing we despise; misinformation/echo chamber/fake news/uneducated parrots etc.

Today's perfect example is the pelosi pens. When I first saw them, I was like, damn that clever bitch ordered gold plated 30-06 pens. If I were a participant in impeachment any of these democrat swamp monsters, I'd love to have a (insert Sean Connery voice from Indiana Jones) "the pen is mightier than the sword" 30-06 pen...and didn't think much of it beyond that.

Fast forward to my evening session with my fellow Patriots....and I see a top rated post about the pens costing 15K. My immediate reaction was, NFW. Now I'm wasting my time pricing out gold plated pens and going to as many fact checking sources as I can find.

Meanwhile (and the point of this post)....there's going to be thousands of now misguided conservatives taking this information into discussions and arguments.

Arizona has a Senate race this November and the democratic candidate, Mark Kelly, is a clear front-runner to supplant the Republican McSally.

He's a retired Navy pilot and astronaut. His resume is impressive, he has clear star power.

Kelly is economically a socialist, wants increased gun regulation, is using the grossly taboo phrase "healthcare is a right". And he will inevitable vote to remove Trump from office.

It's a safe bet Trump will be impeached 2-3 more times in the next 5 years. I am highly concerned people don't realize that a vote for a democrat Senator is 100% a vote to remove Trump from office.

MAYDAY, MAYDAY We need heavy hitters/funds to support McSally. Arizona is on the brink of having 2 democrat senators.
