I don't disagree with you. I understand the point being made, I just have to stand on principle.
I don't like Authoritarian policies. Even if I agree with the ones making the policies they will come back to bite us. I feel that reaching out to our fellow man and getting to know then personally is the way to a future where we restore america.
We spend too much time in our tribes thinking about how to own the other ones when the establishment sits at the top and laughs at us fighting eachother. To assume that people are stupid just because they receive government aid is a falacy of logic. I've been on government aid most of my life. I don't vote fore more taxes, I don't vote for more government, I vote for freedom and liberty. All people should be able to do what they want as long as they're not harming anyone else.
The idea that we need to deny people rights in order to make the country what we think it should be is absolutely counter to the idea that all of us are created free and equal.
The right for women to vote wasn't either. Neither was the right to bear arms, the right to free speech. Should we take these things away because people misuse them? Are we the only ones that get to decide what's right?
Are we fighting for freedom or just the chance to be in charge and BECOME the elitists?
I said it when Mr. Reagan on YouTube brought up the idea. You can't simply just take away someone's right to vote because they're dependent on a broken system. This country is built on individual freedoms. It would go against the spirit of the founding to take away someone's rights because of that.
