X countries troops helped count the votes and the current president who is commander and chief won" is a lot worse than "the election was just like the last 45, he won again". Mail in voting obviously makes this one different anyways.
I think it is shitty the democrats are going for the mail in voting, but the military should be the last ones involved in the election process, there has to be a better way politically.
Obviously troops swear to the constitution and not the president. But the Constitution doesn't give orders, just rules and guarantees rights. I'm saying both the perception and implementation aren't in the best interest of precedent on a national scale.
I think Glen and little Ben do whatever they thinks is most popular at the moment. They changed opinions with what they thought would get them the most listeners. It's just like "how could I not support Romney, he changed his opinion!" yes, he does, every week.

I've found a few examples of guardsmen assisting local elections, but federal elections can't have federal troops of the incumbent sorting ballots.
National guard can follow governors orders for state elections. This doesn't mean you can have active duty military/reserves helping during the presidential election. You can't have the military count votes, don't be retarded. No way in hell you get people who have important shit to do do this. Also no one in the military wants to count ballots. Also pretty sure it's not legal for the military to count civilian ballots anyways.
