Of course, this justification was never disclosed widely to the public because “they hate us for our freedom” just sounded so much better! Of course, they knew that the continued involvement in the MENA would create more terrorists, and they embraced it, because they could justify the surveillance regime they created in the wake of 9/11.
If you could describe a fascist regime, it would be characterized as:
- Imperialist. Check.
- A surveillance state. Check.
- Corporate monopolies and government working together against the individual citizen. Check.
- Actively promoting gun confiscation. Check.
- Actively promoting free speech restrictions and punishment for dissent via coercion or intimidation. Check, check anr fucking check.
