Where do we get our respirators? If we manufacture them here we should just put in a big fat order for more to keep in reserve. If we don't, then that's something else to put on our to-do list.
In addition, I like the China system of a quick quarantine system / hospital annex. We should work on that because this will NOT be the last time this happens.
HAHAHA!
I laugh but I'm annoyed as well. I need to pick up some perishables (milk, lettuce, etc) for my 90 yr old parents at some point but I'm over 60 and shouldn't be going into crowds myself. Everyone is panic buying and the stores have stopped delivery and even in store pick up services. I'll give it a few more days and see if things calm down a bit but I think I'm just going to have to put on a mask and hope for the best.
So many people I know were sick in late Jan/early Feb with "killer colds" as my friend described it. When I talked to her on the phone I encouraged her to go to the Dr and get antibiotics because she always ends up with bronchitis or something every time she gets the sniffles. She didn't, but the illness spread through her workplace. Everyone there is fairly young and travels a lot so though it could have actually been a "killer cold" that didn't kill anyone it also could have been something more. We'll never know.
I don't know what kind of wedding Cenk goes to but I've never seen where where someone ends up in a hotel room with a rent-a-man and meth.
Dems always making excuses for each other, especially those who aren't white.
I don't get the socialize medicine/M4A/single payer argument at all. That would not help in a situation like COVID-19 or any other serious epidemic since the one hard and fast rule about that kind of system is long waits, limited equipment and fewer local facilities.
The testing...what I want to know is why is it necessary test those who are not symptomatic since a neg test today can turn pos tomorrow and no way we are testing everyone daily.
Just limit it to people who have been in contact with a confirmed case on some sort of schedule? Just those with a fever and/or respiratory issues? We need guidelines as well as test kits
Holy cow! He just jabbers on peppering the workers with questions without even stopping to take a breath or let anyone respond. I'm sure they are trying to find answers themselves since they don't personally service the planes.
I stocked my pantry with some extras last week , including paper products, hand sanitizer, etc. I'm over 62 and don't like what I'm hearing but I don't have any underlying health issues either. I'm just washing my hands a lot because I work in a public building, and am being diligent about taking my Vit C, D and zinc.
It's actually one of the first things I thought of myself, and I'll be damned if I know why. Was it something drummed into us from a movie or emergency situations in the past? I started picking up extras in early Feb, along with boxes of tissue (which I've used as TP in a pinch) so that not a problem for me now. Water either, I have my Brita's and a stock pile of Bubbly which is just something I always have because I'm addicted.
