I have to disagree with Trump on this one. If this election steal is allowed to slide, we'll still have a "Republican Party". It'll just be hollowed out and infested by controlled opposition, such that fiscal and social conservatives will have no representation in the US. So in other words, back to the status quo of ten years ago.

The way you phrased it makes it sound like 51%. The odds are greater than 99% that you will survive COVID-19. It really sounds like you're the one putting bias ahead of reality.
If you're going to call COVID a lottery, then you should also call walking down the street a lottery, since you might get killed by a mugger. You could die any day you get in your car and go to work. Better sit in the dark (because if you use electricity, you might start a house fire) in your basement (in case a meteor hits your house) and wait to die of old age, because the whole world's dangerous.

There's little reason to focus on COVID-19 as our next target for elimination. Compared to measles, polio, and smallpox, this is nothing. Most of the people who die of COVID would have succumbed to any infection.
Because Fox News has always been Neoconservative propaganda, and there's a distinction between Neoconservatives and Republicans. It just so happens that the Neoconservatives have overwhelmingly dominated the Republicans for decades and are terrified of losing their dominion.
Mortality rate far below 1%. Most people fight it off before even showing symptoms.
I believe it wasn't specifically COVID-19. We have an outbreak of a new strain of disease every year. Most of the time, it doesn't come to anything, because there are already countless ever-mutating diseases floating around the population. Anything truly deadly gets nipped in the bud.
The reason COVID-19 got so popular is because the culture controllers needed an attack vector, and a disease is a convenient scare. It's invisible; it's spreads from close contact; it's not intuitively understandable. Avian flu, swine flu, zika virus, ebola, SARS, or MERS could've gone exactly the same way, but the progressive elites didn't need to be so aggressive back when they were popular, so they got abused for some clickbait then thrown away.
Jesus said if you are struck on the right cheek, turn the other also. His admonition carried a lot of cultural nuance that has been lost to us unless you look into it.
Striking someone backhanded was considered an insult to someone you think of as a social lesser, while striking someone open-handed was an invitation to a social equal to engage in a fistfight. The left hand was considered unclean, and to backhand someone with your left hand would shame you more than it would them.
When you put this together, you get a modern translation more along the lines of, "If someone violently disrespects you in a legal way, do not retaliate with violence of your own. Exhibit loving but stern defiance by forcing them to acknowledge you as an equal."
edit: The entire Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5) deserves its own lecture that I'm unqualified to give. It's a very important instructional on bending to unjust authority without kneeling to it.
