War is complicated. You take allies where you can, even temporary ones. Some you trust more than others, but you'd be foolish to tear someone down at the exact moment they are pushing the cause forward.

Sometimes I wonder about MLK. I admired him all my life, and much of his work is truly superb and inspiring. But I wonder if his movement wasn't just a bad tree bearing bad fruit. Of course it may not be fair to make any strong judgment about it, since he was assassinated and wasn't able to guide the civil rights movement any further. Similar to how I wouldn't blame Lincoln for the disaster of Reconstruction.

The last one is so perfect with that expression on Biden's face, lol.

Funny... I left the Republican party for the opposite reason.

I think she is an actual NPC. I don't think there is a real brain in there.

I agree with that. It's not always fair or pleasant, but social stigmas serve an important purpose. They keep the damage that the mentally ill can do to the fabric of society (and to themselves) in check.

The example of Jesus is the wise approach. He was personally compassionate and generous with people who lived in sin, but he did not reject the Law or the social obligations we all have to one another.

He readily forgave people for sexual sin, but also called them out on it and warned them to repent. He publicly condemned the Pharisees for hypocrisy, but told people to obey their teachings. He did not bow to the authority of Rome, but he advocated paying your taxes.

Pure permissiveness is not wise or even compassionate because it leaves people lost and immersed in their sin with no way back; it just opens the door to more perversity.

It always feels weird to upvote someone about some maddening piece of news. Best not to shoot the messenger, though.

I feel the same way about Churches and their tax exempt status. It's so vulnerable and it's just a matter of time before it gets leveraged for some political purpose.

The Spanish Flu is a really interesting case. Here is what I found last time I researched it:

The outbreak happened during WWI, and there were tight controls on media among the belligerent nations. So the nations among which it likely originated were suppressing info on the virus for the same reason they were suppressing info about the brutality of the war, to avoid crushing the moral of the people with bad news. Spain, being neutral, reported the effects of the virus more freely, so it became associated with it before the other nations did, hence the Spanish Flu.

I think it originated somewhere on the western front where millions of men were living in filth and blood, constantly interacting with insects and rats and dead bodies, and disease generally ran rampant.

His current condition may be pitiful, but don't forget that he is where is because he spent his entire career as a ruthless, partisan, character-assassinating scumbag.

He's a fake president. You let the left dictate your language, you may as well just bend over for them.

I know, it seems unbelievable that the ones who get the spotlight are the ones who make no effort actually to transition. But you have to realize that people like Blaire White go against their worldview because she affirms there are only two sexes/genders. They want to destroy sex differences in favor of a spectrum. Their worldview is pure chaos and nihilism, and everything they do reflects it.

My guess is that the mods took this opportunity to rebrand. I don't know why it hasn't been answered.

Stop sending your children to public schools. Public school is the easy choice to make until your children grow up and hate God and America and despise you. It has happened to thousands and thousands of conservatives. The only answer is to remove the source of the poison, and then you can educate them properly without fighting an uphill battle with their teachers.

Whoa, that got a little nihilistic at the end there, but I want to support your point about being recorded as "white." It's one of those things that just seems off, but that most people don't stop to think about. Every race/ethnicity on most forms has sub-categories and nuance, like it's respectful. But when it comes to Europeans, it's just "white," like we're some indistinctive, ghastly presence that haunts the planet. It's very deliberate. We should do everything we can to subvert and reject this race-critical worldview that has made so many inroads into our culture and our lives. I was never more proud of Trump than when he took on the cancer of critical race theory and sensitivity training. That's attacking the Left at its core.

John Taylor Gatto is my favorite author on this subject. This is from his Infogalactic page:

What does the school do to children? Gatto asserts the following in "Dumbing Us Down":

It confuses the students.

It presents an incoherent ensemble of information that the child needs to memorize to stay in school. Apart from the tests and trials, this programming is similar to the television; it fills almost all the "free" time of children. One sees and hears something, only to forget it again.

It teaches them to accept their class affiliation.

It makes them indifferent.

It makes them emotionally dependent.

It makes them intellectually dependent.

It teaches them a kind of self-confidence that requires constant confirmation by experts (provisional self-esteem).

It makes it clear to them that they cannot hide, because they are always supervised.
