Ron tells a lot of hard truths, prior to having your eyes open that is. I became aware of him from a USA today headline I saw in a gas station. Ron Paul says that 9/11 was America's fault. I thought, no politician would say this and decided I had to read this and see what was going on. I was right, he didnt say that. He was talking about the consequences of foreign intervention. And the paper extrapolated out a ficticious quote to smear. But I liked what I heard. Read a few of his books, watched some interviews. Turned on to the evils of the fed. Dug deeper, why does the media refer to him as "doctor no". Everything I dug down on made me like him more. Guess you could say that was my red pill moment.

I walked away after a 2 year halo binge. It just hit me one day, how much time I spent. I dont regret a minute of it. It was fucking epic. But if not for that moment of clarity I might still be sitting there to this day. Never played a second of call of duty cause I knew I'd be sucked right back in.
What it boils down to is empathy. Being able to put yourselves in someone else's shoes. These people deal with human pieces of shit everyday. They have to digest with their own eyes shit some of the worst human behavior you can think of, daily. You read an article or watch a documentary here and there and think about how horrible people can be, casually. And you get to turn it off. They don't. So why would I present myself in a manner that makes a cop think I'm just another person that wants to harm him when he is already tense. That's their baseline.
When you get pulled over, turn on your dome light. Let's them see you and what you are doing. You are starting to build trust. Get your papers and I'd ready. Then put your hands on the wheel so they can see them. Wait for instructions. This is not a racial issue, it's common sense for everyone. Also, I am in a conceal carry state. I always provide my conceal carry permit and let the officer know where my fire arm is. Never been told to do that but it just seems stupid to let him find it on his own.
Yes, some cops are assholes. Why? Not my place to try and figure it out during a traffic stop. But would you be able to handle their job with any better grace? I cant say that I could. Just keep your mouth shit and do what you are told. If you are really concerned, get a dash cam. Go to court.
