Are you kidding me? I'm glad my dad beat my a$$ when I was kid (not abuse mind you. It was called parenting in the 70s and 80s) and raised me to be a man. We didn't have participation trophies. We were taught right and wrong. More importantly we were told no from time to time. This is the result of hover parenting. If parents spend more time raising their kids instead of trying to be their kids best friend by catering to them we wouldn't be where we are at today.
