Chief Justice Roberts said he doesn't want to preside over another impeachment trial, the constitution said the CJ shall preside. I think that Roberts can prevent the clown show from going forward constitutionally.

The senate can get Commie Harris to preside, but that's a farce because Trump can go to court on the grounds that the trial wasn't legit, since the Chief Justice didn't preside. He'll win. They are out of luck, because Roberts won't give their trial legitimacy. That's the problem when they try to impeach someone who is not in office.

I am still struck by Barr's resignation, he didn't actually say he was quitting. He spoke about how great and rewarding it was to work in admin, listed accomplishments, said he was going to wrap up a few important things that week, then spend time with family over holidays. He never just said I am resigning. Trump responded with the name of the guy who would be acting AG. Any chance Barr was just taking a break before crap hit the fan?
