Nah, the only reason this happened is because everyone BUT the party in charge voted for it. Trudeau and his party were voting against this, only a few breaking the party line

Because it's more convenient to end him than defend him. The only reason they turn on anyone.

Most of the people invested in these stocks have portfolios in the 4 digit range. Enough people dont stand to lose or gain enough to care, id say.

Just because you lost hope doesnt mean you have to doompost literally days before we find out. Whats the point? To tired to hope but not too tired to go around and tell strangers to stop? Make it make sense.

Okay so WHY DID WE NOT KNOW THE PRESIDENT UNTIL A WEEK LATER WHEN FEDERAL LAW DICTATES THE ELECTION ENDS ON ELECTION NIGHT?

Oh, because state judges etc UNILATERALLY CHANGED THE ELECTION LAW IN THE STATE TO EXTEND THEIR ELECTION DAYS.

you cant just say "Im tired of arguing this point, youre wrong even though I have no way to back it up". you cant tell me why federal election law matters here but not there so you just pull your parachute and pretend that a conversation 2 comments in is somehow testing your patience.

The elections are run as dictated by the state. That is also stated, plainly, in the constitution. Federal election laws say that states pick the winner on election night, why didnt we know the winner until a week later?

Settlements arent laws. If a settlement directly contradicts an federal election law, then its invalid. the only ones that can change election law are legislators. its plainly stated in the constitution. An agreement between a person and an activist group cannot change election law. Saying the court wouldnt just let something illegal happen is ignoring literally every time that a law was passed and then later repealed as unconstitutional. The court lets illegal things happen ALL THE TIME.

You really didn't though. that change wasnt legislated, it was a result of a court settlement iirc

Less internal regulation, more regulation of imports and imported labor. They can only undercut so much based on labor costs if we are all working out of the same labor pool. Right now, any company of noticable size or of certain fields of service has access to a secondary labor market with dirt low prices and there is little to no reason to hire american. This makes it so the companies that hire american either by choice or circumstance are at a disadvantage from the get go on one of the most expensive parts of any companies budget.
