A big part of Democrat success has been convincing people that the average person is dumb. This has two benefits. For one, it allows them to downplay any argument someone makes as, "This is just the average person being dumb." And then more importantly, it leads to the belief that the average person is too dumb to know what is best for them so we need to let government elite decide what is best for everyone.

Lol, they're using a filter on Biden to make his skin look smoother. Meanwhile they put a filter on Trump to make him look orange.

And the politicians are elected by people. There's only one degree of separation with how we the people pick the judges.

I understand where you're coming from, but if the people voted directly then you'd have races and campaigns for Supreme Court Justice. It would inherently become extremely political. Which granted it kind of is right now, but it shouldn't be.

It really is baffling that we have judges that believe in the "living document" bullshit. They should be required to interpret it as written. The whole idea behind living document is that the constitution need to change to reflect the times. That's a fine premise, and there is a way to change the constitution. It doesn't involve the Supreme Court.

I wish there was a way to remove judges, but I can't think of anything that wouldn't instantly be abused the moment Democrats take power.

The president can't just pick anyone though, the senate needs to confirm the nomination. It's really as much the Senate's appointment as it is the president's. You need both to agree.

There's going to be a panel of people sitting around a table on the news discussing how the virus was the reason two presidential candidates couldn't stand far apart and debate. The level of unawareness will be quite amazing.
