Soyboy gags aside, they're just beans. Edamame's a great snack, better than pretzels with beer. Miso's the best soup. Fried or grilled tofu's good stuff, try it with kitsune udon. It's beans. Most forms of it are just bean paste, like an Asian spin on good old Mexican refried beans.

It's just not a good meat replacement. Soy is great soy. Soy is not so good meat. Fake-meat does not taste good and it is not satisfying and filling in the same way. It goes great WITH meat, just like mushrooms, adding more enhancing umami, but it is not and should not be expected to be meat... Again, much like mushrooms. If you want to be vegetarian for whatever reason, be ready to truly give up meat, because soymeat will never fill that hole.

Libfags seem to love trying to make something be something it's not. Men into women, children into sex objects, communism into a viable economic system, beans into meat.

In short, soyboys faggotry is correlation rather than causation. Don't cheat yourself out of some good foods because of association.

I know at least one guy who did 8 years in low security prison and says the regiment actually straightened his life out and socialized him better than his home environment did. It actually helped get him on and keep a med schedule and while he has had some issues reacclimating (if you spend most of your 20s in jail, yeah, getting a normal job for your age is pretty hard), his sense of responsibility is greatly improved and he can keep his home and self tidy, show up on time and dutifully do an 8 hour unskilled shift, etc. which were all unimaginable for him before he went in. Three hots and a cot might've been the best thing for him. He can take insults calmly and laugh them off, he has much better impulse control regarding food, chemicals, and entertainment, he can make himself go to bed instead of staying up all night with the latest game or show in binge.

For many people it's not helpful and just an expensive forced hotelling on tax payer's dimes. But different types respond to different things. Some can be rehabbed, some respond to punishment as a proper deterrent. Too bad the justice system is not based on anything so rational as reducing repeat offenses or deterring. It's mostly about slapping people in a box to get slave labor out of them and then charging them board bill for the pleasure.

I'm in favor of being nicer to and harder on criminals. I think a major factor is violence. Those who don't resist arrest or whose crimes are more sneaky than violent tend to respond better to rehab attempts, those who are defiant to and violent with authority and openly refuse to "play ball" tend to be beyond it. Granted, dangerous but smarter criminals can play the part and re-offend, and these are convenience samples rather than studies, but I can say with confidence the Department of Corrections/For Profit Prison industry is a dead end.

I had been interested in studies on the male side since writing that comment and wondering i there had been anew new studies, and found some of interest.

Key words when I look for this topic are "Resource scarcity" and "beauty standards."

That sounds like the opposite of a problem. It's fun to me.

Every word for someone of low mental capacity has become a common insult, and thus made inappropriate for medical settings and replaced with a new word, which becomes a common insult. Idiot, dumb, moron, retarded, special; autistic has become a standard insult and I'm sure they'll eventually get around to replacing its medical term the same way.

I actually like autists, but it's just funny to me we try to pretend there's any word that can ever refer to the mentally retarded that will not be an insult. Being a retard's a bad thing. Dress it up all you want, we'd heal a retard if we could. It would be beyond cruel to pretend they have any human dignity and NOT to bump them up to a normal IQ if it were an option. Autists I can at least see, for many high functioners, it being a choice to 'treat' or not, if a magical fix-it was available.

Enjoy that racism treadmill to, censors, because I don't hate black/gay/brown/or even trans people, but the more you remove words one has to refer to (pick your special category) people they don't like, the more they solidify that concept the word represents, the people in those groups with consistent traits I do hate.

Oh yeah, and fuck those with a rusty shiv. Those need to be the first laws to go. Evil shit, that.

This. I care about men's rights in general and how they get reamed in divorce/family court but there's no spare energy to give a damn about two rich people hissing at each other over who gets to depart slightly more rich, both utterly immune to the economic realities of the rest of society.

This pede sociologies.

Also, studies have shown that people who grew up in recessions/times of famine tended to prefer chunkier women (no study available for women on men that I've read). Meaning the new "thicc" trend that's been around the last decade or so is, yup, because of people who hit puberty or grew up during the major recession that started in 2008-2009.

I grew up in an ecnomic bubble and I like heroin-chic thin stick women, this "thicc" trend with a particular focus on ass and thighs has me shaking my old man fist about the corrupted youth today. Turns out there's a science to it, our epigenetics tell us to prefer whatever is more likely to be beneficial in our environment. Those in a recession prefer signs of hardiness and capacity to nurse and support a baby upon conceiving, those in normal or excess can be pickier about highlighted fertility symbols (more pronounced secondary sex characteristics, thinner body parts compared to fuller boobs, neotany, etc.).

Even as someone who never wants kids, the science of what's attractive is fairly hard wired.

Gonna have to lean against DeSantis on this one. Threats are illegal, peaceful protest is not, and I know the line is a very thin one, but I don't want to move away from free speech towards "safety" as a matter of course.

The McCloskys had it right; have a gun, be recording, be ready to intimidate back. And fire if you think it's valid, better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6. If it's near your own home you'll have an even better case than St. Kyle, because you have no duty to retreat, nowhere to retreat to.

Right to protest, right to defend. Think of yourself on both sides of the law and where you'd want to be, because the tactics and rights of protest and self defense are available to all sides.

I've had jobs like this. Lotta downtime in peace times, but paid to be on call and it's understood that since sometimes I do nothing for 2 weeks, when I week comes calling for 16 hour days, you shut up and do them without overtime.

He did actually speak out about grooming. That's what got him canceled. He never turned on Trump, but he did mention he thought his grooming was not so bad. He said pedophilia and "Very young boys" were common at gay parties and that he was generally quite against it, but nobody was allowed to talk about it unless it's framed as a church thing, not a gay thing.

He said the age of consent at 18 is "about right" but some people are ready earlier and some later, and he believed that him having it earlier (14-15 with a priest) was right for him. Notice he said 18 is "about right" in the same conversation, not as an after-thought apology when shit hit the fan, he noted himself as what he felt was an exception at 15. (Don't we all think we're especially mature at 15?)

When called out on that (unlike Takei who said the same thing about a camp counselor who diddled him as a youth and that it was magical and wonderful, but has the right politics) he said he is probably fucked up from the grooming and had an unhealthy coping mechanisms and that his 15 year old sex with a priest was probably not as healthy as he likes to think. He apologized for saying anything that anyone might take to mean he thought 15 year old sex should be normalized.

Milo got fucked over unfairly at least twice. Once at 15, once in 2015.

I dunno, I get along pretty good with masculine women. Maybe it's just where I work, but for lacking in grace and humility I get the ration and sense of personal responsibility from the manly (probably lesbian, but not my concern) girls at work.

I've only known feminine guys socially, not at work, so I've never had to depend on them for more than conversation or a card game, which may be why I've had no problems there, aside from the love of complaining and victim complexing. Or finding anything more complex than Uno "too hard" because they don't want to play, they want to do something with their hands while we chat. Which tends to be how socialization with some less cool women goes, so I chalk it up to some people just sucking in general.

#3 - Cassie Jaye.

"The Red Pill," the movie. Literally. That's the name. It is her journey from 2 to 3.

At least Psaki could give an answer without her eyes on the script going "Uhm, uhm, like, uhm."

We'd get a C in our Communications 200 level gen ed class for public speaking this poor.

Right, and some bots are actually harmless. Some bot accounts are OPENLY bots, like if you tweet something at it, it tweets something back, or bots that tweet lines from specific books every hour or something. Much like helpful Reddit or Discord bots, some can be benign.

Most are not, and the data exists to do a pretty good job determining what accounts are bots not admitting they're bots.

Same. Small ear canals, also leads to my wax getting impacted, I kinda have a thing about hygiene, just not a fan.

Getting harder and harder to find decent non-earbud headphones, don't know why the pods have taken off so much.

Fuck Oz and his fake medical advice. Particularly that stupid cleansing shit. You know how you do a cleanse? You eat normally and let your kidneys and liver do their job.

Very few people benefit from a particular diet to remove "toxins." If you are one who would, your doctor is prescribing it because some of your major organs are not performing their job adequately, or you have ingested something very abnormal.

The unhealthy practices he supports and pushing fear into people for medical problems ("toxins") they don't have makes me sick. He banks on the fact that his viewers, mostly women, want to lose weight but can't admit they just wanna be thin and hot. He banks on the fact that they have to pretend it's about health, instead of "I wanna look hot and healthy happens to usually come with some degree of hot," and sets off orthorexia habits.

Fuck that quack. Mr. President, with all due respect, I cannot support your candidate.

Just came to say the same: I saw Grease as a kid, but I always thought Sandra was the cutest, and the "cool" girls were meh.

I appreciate the meme, though.
